Everyone seems to forget the term "Student Athlete" because most don't get their degrees.

I don't this is the case. Les is graduating around 70% of our players - 2nd only to Vandy in the SEC (IIRC). No idea of how much a factor this would be in a recruit's thinking but it's certainly not a negative. Great work Les in this regard.

Already hoping for Strickland, Johnson, and Merritt, would we even take him IF Lodge commits to us next month? Is Merritt being slow played or what? Will Merritt be playing RB?

Peterson
Diarse
Upchurch
Chark
Ferguson
Spears
Dupre
Quinn
Dural
Johnson*
Merritt*
Strickland*
Charlot*

That is a shite ton of WRs on roster, all with 2 or more years of eligibility. We only throw like 330 times. I'm sure some will be moved around. Maybe I should look at his film again. I remember liking Morgan more.

Lodge won't be committing to us. All signs point to A&M, including this offer.

Where does Lanard Fournette fit in here? I am pretty sure he wants to be at LSU.

I wasn't talking about LES I was referring to the commenter saying who cares about opportunities other than football. I was making a reference in general to the fact that people often forget the definition of a scholarship is a free education.

My bet is that Cam uses him like Darren Sproles.. except merritt is bigger.

That is exciting!

I'm going to assume that he meant Jazz Ferguson. A current WR commit. Just forgot to put an asterisk by his name I guess.

Oil and Gas bullshite

Is this another post about how local Louisiana business will black ball a La 17 year old for going to Alabama?

If so (because imnot going to read it) that is complete bullshite and sound like something a bama fan would say......you know, threatening a 17 year old's future employment.

Did you not learn from last year's recruiting debacle where grown men that follow 17 year olds went to absolute shite?

Some of these kids may want to leave their home state, but grown men like you suggesting that their employment is in danger is possibly the best way to get them to say, "frick this, I'm out".

I actually agree here. Stating career connections if they go to a certain school ("well if he chooses LSU instead of Bama, he'll have better job prospects here") is total bullshite and usually backfires.

It's not like we're comparing an Ivy League education to an SEC one where that argument may have some real-world validity. You're creating good-ole-boy system arguments that are total BS by saying statements like maxcheramie's.

GTFO here with that shite.

If you look at it from a football stand point, LSU's offense is a better fit for Charlot than Bama. He would be used at Bama too, but I think he would have a better shot to become a marquee playmaker like OBJ if he came in to Cam's offense. He really couldnt go wrong with either, but I think LSUs offense would utilize him better. Here is to hoping he will be wearing purple and gold

Nobody said anything about blackballing a kid for not going to a university. I work for a company out of Houston. Just stated in my industry what gets looked at. I have been reading this forum for years seeing the stupid stuff ppl write like.. "I own a business and wouldn't hire a kid that left state to play football" etc etc. I didn't write that. I said opportunities in his home state are better in my industry with a degree from those universities. 2 of which are not LSU so please clean your glasses or learn how to comprehend what you read!

Maybe that's your problem.....no one can comprehend what the hell you said.

But you weaved "morally ethical" into the conversation on staying in state......250k.....you have six degrees.....three universities represented......etc etc etc.

Do me a favor......I can better comprehend your message if you were to deduct about two thirds of it. Cool?

Dumbest thing I've ever read.

I'll just leave it at that and not say another word.
