with all the positive things going on right now with this class. Franks being the 1st invite to the elite 11, 7 commits at the opening, and the recent positive ESPN recruiting talk. I see more commits we can not turn down than spots we have left. This possibly can be the best recruiting class ever assembled!

I really don't believe we give anyone who is committed us the boot...worst comes to worst they get a grey shirt...but that's almost like telling the kid that you're the least valuable person in this class unless of course if they are a kicker or a long snapper then they wouldn't take offense to it....but I don't think we have any of those committed to us

Orrrr they are an instate kid that can get an academic scholarship to replace their academic that could work too! The same principle still applies though they feel like they aren't valued

I'm not about that processing life. We are bound to lose 1 commit at some point anyway.

There is the what-we-think-we-know board, then there is the Ed O and Frank Wilson board.

Just sit back and let it happen.

No worries, Oklahoma State will take whoever gets left out like they have done recently.

It's almost like Les felt bad for leaving Oklahoma State so he tells the recruits to go there

If Brandon Harris doesn't pick LSU, I'm confident Mason Rudolph would have come to LSU. He was starting games for the Pokes as a true freshman and is likely to start next season.

I hope Palelei recovered well enough from his injury to torch the Longhorns and Sooners for a couple of big runs. There were some insiders claiming that LSU still really wanted him and that was not a mutual parting.

I still feel bad about how the whole Hardeman thing went down. It seemed like he publicly committed when it was not on the table and the coaches didn't want to embarrass him right away, so they let it linger for a while.

I did mean my original comment as an offhand joke, but then I got carried away thinking about it.

Every year we have one or two guys that don't make it for some reason and I'm sure if we have the top guys wanting in we will take em and figure out the numbers later. Better than scrambling at the end trying to flip guys or getting our numbers. Maybe Steele is bringing in a new strategy to LSU recruiting. Doesn't seem to hurt other programs!

It can hurt you with High School coaches in a BIG way. Of course nobody knows that better than the guys who do it for a living, the LSU Coaching staff. I think there are scenarios where you stick with "your guy" from right here rather than the more-heralded guy from over there because you want to keep those relationships good over the long haul. Especially since the original guy was pretty freaking good anyway. You just might need to factor in that a lot of kids "want in" that might not a few years ago. Sounds like a great problem to have. But again, Coach Wilson and the guys don't need advice from us, they have this figured out and probably have some nice surprises in store for us.

I think Crown changes his school logo once a week, but seems to be all LSU
