“It was one of the best visits,” Ghirmai told SEC Country. “It was a really nice place. They walked us through their academic department and I loved it. Plus, I got to see their locker rooms and players. There was a cool vibe going on, too. I loved it. LSU would have to be No. 1 so far.”

Ghirmai comes from a Nigerian background. There’s a connection with LSU’s offensive line coach, whose adopted daughter hails from the same part of the country as Ghirmai’s parents. Having the opportunity to expound upon that relationship this weekend carried significant weight for Ghirmai. “It’s amazing,” Ghirmai said of his bond with Grimes. “He’s a great guy and he also really knows how to coach up an offensive line. It just went great.”

Are you fricking serious?

I think Ghirmai is coming into his own. Could turn out to be a really good OT. He's not a project... he just needs some tweaking and coaching up and he'll be a monster.

Went right over my head then

Great to see OL recruits having this reaction to a visit. We need more kids on the offensive side of the ball to start coming into the fold. Great job coach Grimes!

quote:Exactly Techdog89. It's great to see this type of reaction. Quite the opposite of some like, for example, Cam "Hi Point" Robinson.

I seriously doubt he was serious and have to question you're level of seriousness in believing he was indeed serious. shite, i'm seriously exhausted.

Would love a head buster at OT. He's got a built in nickname for a lineman

Bump...
Spiegs reported on twitter he may pull trigger soon.
LSU seems to be considered leader.

I think he is going to the linemen camp this weekend. If so it would be a great time to pull the trigger.
