In the midst of everyone melting over our Top 5 recruiting class and a coach that was never coming here due to his preference of being a HC, news about Marvin Wilson becoming more and more a LSU lean surfaced.

Pretty sure he's been a soft verbal to O since O got the interim tag. I'm hoping we get him - because as much as we need linebackers, a dominant DL can make up for a few shortcomings at ILB in a 3-4.
Essentially - with A-Grade players at your NT and 3-technique Tackle (essentially a huge DE), you can get by with guys in the B plus range the ILB spots - particularly if at least 1 is great against the run.

Correct but Wiltfong is as good as there is in the business. He doesn't make CBs without serious, trusted info. Not always right but he goes on the info he's got at the time if he deems it legit and on point.
