I highly respect your opinions most of the time, but a day of rest per inning pitched is moronic. It would actually HURT more than help to take 7 days off. That just means guys would have to throw a bullpen in between anyway.

3 days rest is plenty for a guy to come in relief as long as he takes care of his arm correctly. The LHSAA's current rule is you must have 4 days rest after throwing more than 4 innings. But the week restarts on Monday's. So even if he threw Friday he can still throw Tuesday.

Next year the LHSAA is going to a pitch count rule. It will be interesting to see how it is enforced

Still too high. It'll be 125 I believe.

not if it leads to shorter outings... yall are going off of the assumption that every kid throws 7. I want them to throw 5. HS arms and bodies are still developing.

Inning rules in general are dumb. Pitch count is the way to go.
I can throw 40 pitches in 5 innings and you can throw 80 and you think we should have same rest? No

you trust the pitch counters? innings are easier to keep track of for most of the 350ish LHSAA schools

Prove it hurt his arm moron.

ive driven drunk before. Just because you escape unscathed doesn't make it a good idea.

Kids shouldn't throw 125 pitches.

Saw a great interview a few years back with Leo Mazone. He was asked about it being overkill to start scouting kids in junior high. He said it's a business decision. He said they'd sign kids out of HS and their arms were shot by the time they turned 20. They'd go back and find the kid was pitching every game. Said there was one kid who had great potential but was throwing both games of a double header ! My question would have been if the coach is that much of an idiot, where are the parents !

The kids a competitor he wants a state title. I'm sure Poche and Lange were in the same boat. His dad is at every game watching counting pitches. Coach listens to the dad. He will be fine

Looks like a couple high school coaches came in to downvote me calling them out. How about you explain your down vote and try to defend your position coach?
