But still won't play in Under Armour game. He's ready to get to LSU in January and battle for a starting job. Rooting for him! Geaux Tigers

Really good news. Hopefully they will redshirt him to give him a solid year of strengthening his knee then we can compete for the starting spot with Etling and Harris gone.

Nice that he can start prepping for next fall.

I really hope he's healed up and hasn't lost a step. That guy could flat out run prior to his injuries. Strong arm and quick feet with a build like his would be a dream qb in Canadas system

I hope he redshirts, as well. With one, and potentially 2 senior QBs on the roster for next year, and 2 other guys with experience in the program for depth, there's no reason he needs to be on the active roster in 2017. Let him learn the playbook and get into the strength and conditioning program and get his body 100% right before entering the fray.

Interested to see how he looks at the Under Armour practices.

Hopefully he's doing the same treatment and rehab as Godchaux did.

Could he be a left-handed Cam Newton if he comes back strong...that's the question...maybe not as fast though, I would guess...that would be fun, fun, fun...

Seen any recent pics of LN? Don't get me wrong here, I'm glad he reaffirmed commitment and will be a tiger... but the guy's lower body got tiny due to not being able to develop it after back to back knee injuries.

He needs a solid year of S&C to get his calves built back up. He's a monster in upper body build, similar to a Dak Prescott. But a year under the weights will turn him into a total hoss. Expect a full blown competition between LN, Brennan, McMillan and Scott in 2018.

I watched him work out with a QB coach from Houston at a BREC park one day this summer, & he looks a lot older than his years. Reminded me of how mature Fournette looked coming out of h.school. Just not as big. The coach's wife was sitting on top of an ice chest & said that her husband said this kid "has the most potential than anyone he's coached in years". And she added that he's been coaching QB's for 15 years. Fingers crossed he stays healthy as he has the work ethic already.
