You do know they've had at least two decommitments off the top of my head in Rhaheed and Williams.

is mcdowell wanting to shut down the process this early?

He was pretty damn ecstatic when he got his offer. There were rumors that he would be one of the commits coming out of the camp week. It wouldn't surprise me if he did tell the coaching staff he was ready but they told him to hold for momentum. Same thing they did with Clifton Garrett.

I meant looking at who is committed to us currently.

I think most realized it was only a matter of time before Rhaheed decommitted and with Williams, there were just issues out of the coaches' hands with him

LSU TAKES POSSIBLE LEAD ON ROBINSON: West Monroe offensive tackle Cameron Robinson has been part of a fierce recruiting battle between LSU and Alabama. For a time through the late spring and early summer, it appeared that Alabama may have had an edge on Robinson. Well, Alabama doesn't exactly feel that way anymore according to reliable sources. According to people on the Alabama side, the Crimson Tide now feels that LSU has taken a lead and that the Tide is trailing the in-state program for his services. Robinson is the nation's premier offensive lineman and would be a huge pull for LSU ... especially if it's away from division-rival Alabama.

Told ya.

The staff didn't tell garret to wait. They would gladly accept his commitment whenever. He wants to take his visits before announcing

Clark, McDowell, and Willis were all on Ole Miss' campus at the same time. That's a pretty amateur move by them considering the only other school all three have in common is LSU.

It seems like it would make more sense to get them in individually, increasing the chances of getting one of them, since they definitely aren't getting all three.

If I'm reading the tea leaves left by Memphis from the Opening thread a few weeks ago, don't be so sure. A major part of recruiting is momentum. That was a major reason Ole Miss was in on so many big time recruits toward the end of last year's recruiting cycle. They had all the momentum with Treadwell, Nkemdiche and Tunsil.

I'm pretty sure McDowell has expressed interest in going back to oxford too.

I'm not worried at this point, but don't close the door on these guys and Ole Miss just yet. Freeze is an incredible recruiter.

I heard the big draw to Ole Miss is that Chris Kiffin gives recruits all the car stereos and CDs he steals when he breaks into cars. They can't have his pills though.

Anyone could probably say this and have a 50/50 chance of being right.

I also predict at least one BOOM in the next few weeks. Possibly more. Stay tuned.
