Only listed offer I can find is Northwestern State. It's not hard to get nominated for this game and I believe they nominate a certain amount from each state no matter what.

It’s quit an accomplishment to be nominated for this award!!!! This is a great young man in whom I know personally. He has a 4.7 GPA and also exemplifies true leadership and team sports. Respect! Also, he is my nephew so congratulations!!!! He will definitely be a blessing to whoever he chose to continue his athletic career with. ????????

We already have a point guard committed in this class. Looking more for shooting guards / small forwards.

From what I gather any coach or principal can nominate any player...as long as they meet certain very basic requirements (actually being a top 100 prospect isn't one of them). A quick internet search shows 729 girls and boys players were nominated. Only 48 girls and boys (24 each) will make the team.

I'm sure the kid is a good player and it seems like he's a good student and and all around kid. He should be proud his coach/principal thought enough of him to nominate him. But a nomination doesn't imply a player is a top prospect. I suspect the committee who selects the AA team already knows the group of prospect from where the 24 players will come. The other nominations are really just for marketing purposes.

Yeah, I read this as Offensive guard at Liberty U. and thought we don't need OL.

Great fact. Most Louisiana top tiers attend elsewhere anyways. Size and strength are needed for sec offers.

I like Gaskins a lot. Saw Liberty vs. New Iberia, which was a 5A heavyweight battle. Gaskins is on a team with 10 bona fide scorers. They're uber-deep and talented. Maybe the best team in the state. I only have Madison Prep ranked about Liberty.
