If LF stays healthy he will smash all LSU records. Mark my words.

He will play from day 1. I don't care what anyone says. The road has been paved for HIM.

I could be wrong, but I don't think LSU played 13 games every year during the time Faulk played.

Hill played in a total of 20 games last year. Two of those games, he got 3 carries total so you can throw that out. As a true freshman, Hill averaged 93 yards in 8 games. This year he played only 3 quarters of the first 3 games so taking those out, he averaged 123 yards in his last 10. He has over half the rush TDs Faulk had during his 4 year career in 2 years and he has almost half the yardage and less carries.

Hill is awesome, but not Faulk's level yet because of time with Tigers.

If he comes back that could change.

Dont care what anyone says...Faulk was the most exciting, hardnosed all purpose back Ive ever seen play for the Tigers..everytime he touched the ball he had a legit chance to take it to the house...

With that being said...didnt get to see Faulk play In High school just heard stories..BUT with LF if the coaches let him..he could be that Once in a lifetime Back that does it all...and from watchin his High school tape...he has the abilty to score evertime he touches the ball just like Faulk....cant wait to watch him play

Hill had a better season this year than Kevin Faulk ever had, splitting carries with three other backs. Faulk still has the better legacy than Hill, but Hill proved that it definitely can be done.

I think Fournette definitely has a shot at surpassing Faulk for a career.

Personally, I'd settle for a NC...to hell with all the individual stats...and L.F. is thinking in this mode as well...and the intangibles are great with this kid/young man also...he will add character and toughness to this team...leadership, in a word!

KF played for all four years. I highly doubt LF will stay beyond three, if he has similar success. So, unless LF can accomplish more in three years than KF did in four, I don't think he will.

IMO, the answer to your question depends on the strength of his o-line once he is getting significant carries.

if LF averages 117 yards a game for 39 games he can break KFs rushing record.

lets assume he'll probably play at least 41 games to account for a nc year, then he needs a shade over 111 per game.

ill say thats very possible.

If you're talking about production...possibly.

If you're talking about records...no. Sadly, if he comes anywhere close to Faulk's records, he will be long gone to the NFL before breaking them.

What made hill so good this year was our passing attack to set up the running game for him. In order for LF7 to be a beast we gotta have a consistant passing game to elimanate those 8 and 9 man in the box defenses he will face.

he has the potential to surpass Faulk but it would be silly to predict it right now.. any number of things could happen that would prevent him

What makes Hill's season as a pure RB the best is is yards per carry...it's off the charts. The guy put up 1400 yards playing is 12 games (remember, he didn't take a snap in the TCU game) and almost none in game #2. He barely averaged 15 touches per game the whole season.

Faulk was an outstanding RB, but where he worth really shined was as a return man. Those combined yards are what make him untouchable in terms of numbers.

But make no mistake...Hill's 2013 is second to none at this point at LSU as far as RB's go.

Good shite.

You guys act like Kevin Faulk never shared the backfield with rondell mealey, Cecil Collins, and Kendal Cleveland.

Kevin Faulk ran for 1200 yards in 9 games with 15 touchdowns averaging 127 per game in a year where BOTH mealey and Collins ran for nearly 700 yards a piece!

Fantastic logic on the RB.

We cannot have logic.

Just kidding! That was a great post.
