That's because he's an lsu lean from Neville. I imagine you'd see it differently if he were an Oregon lean from Sacramento. Literally everyone that's paid to scout recruits had a better grade on Collins. But you're probably right, what do they know.

For some reason, as I read this thread, I pictured the barber shop scene in Coming to America when they're debating over the best boxers.

Seems to me both are great players but different players. Collins has better straight line speed and has an incredible vertical leap. Hootie seems to have an advantage in lateral quickness, hip turn, etc.

Also, I think Collins is now 215. And I believe Hootie is, too.

Hootie had an injury late in the season last year that made it painful to turn, change direction, or even put his pants on.. It hampered him in the Karr game. Hes over that, and should be back to his ball hawking self this year.

collins is one of the most elite athletes i have ever seen...people want to call him a bust because he didnt start right away? thats foolish...collins is a beast and a better prospect than hootie, its nothing against hootie just more of a compliment to LC

So basically what I got out of this thread is:
LC = Loston (minus the injuries)
Hootie = a more elite version of Ronald Martin (sorry best comparison I could think of)

If that's the case then they're two different types of safeties with two different skill sets which makes trying to compare them pointless. LC is likely to play SS and Hootie is more likely to play FS. Like another poster said a valid comparison would be LC and Corey Thompson. Y'all are just comparing apples to oranges right now.
