I could be wrong, but I think most of the negative talk regarding Malzahn came from Ole Miss and Arky Nutt people. Most of the negative talk from the LSU crowd about Auburn was more about Auburn's woeful offense rather than Malzahn. We were going off of their performance from last year. And it was pitiful. I respected Malzahn for what he was able to do at Arky and Tulsa and I thought he was a good hire for Chizik and that he would get the Auburn offense going again. Still, he has exceeded my expectations by far and, if the truth be known, probably yours as well. Auburn's suddenly impressive offense is why Malzahn's stock is skyrocketing right now and why a lot of people think he will be a head coach somewhere next year or two years from now max.
