Kiffen’s Crew Has 187 Offers out to 2010 Recruits

Kiffen is obviously doing more marketing than recruiting and I do have to say, he has succeeded in making UT a household name again. However, is his strategy crazy or ingenious? I do know that it caters to the egos of these prospects.

Whenever a new fraternity comes on to campus, they usually have a hard time getting people to join. Since they really need someone to sign, they do what is referred to as "blanket bidding", which is giving a bid out to everyone who comes through rush. This results in a bunch of random guys that nobody really likes and a fraternity that is looked down on by it's peers.
Draw your own conclusions.

97 of those on the list went down in ranking, 31 went up. Moral of the story... There's a 3 to 1 chance that once you get offered by Tennessee that your ranking will drop! :o)

Just got my offical offer in the mail from UT after someone told Kiffin I could still do 1 pushup at 49 yrs of age. BRB my wife says Kiffin is at the front door!! WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED!!YAHOO

This is awesome and so very true. Never thought of Tenn. recruiting like a new frat.
