Watched the replay of Uhigh Curtis and as usual Kenny Young was flying all over the place. This guy should be a top 100 player. I hope we get him I can see him playing substantially as a freshman. He reads keys well and has great closing speed. Stay home Kenny!

SLB: Young
MLB: Garrett
WLB: Alexander

That's a solid LB class right there

He looked so smooth in that game. He was roaming sideline to sideline almost effortlessly. I'd really love to see him flanking Garrett in our defense.

PLZ. We need another LB. Garrett is going to be amazing, but Young WITH Garrett might start a long line of great LB's @ LSU. It would also be sad that one of the few years La produces a great LB to let it get away.

EASILY best linebacker in the state regardless of class. if you Les Miles you do not let that leave the state. fast, physical, smart. i sure do hope he is a tiger. that is an sec linebacker, not a west coast linebacker

I hope not. We could really use a good LB like young to go along with the other LBs In this class

I actually kinda think Young backs up Kwon Alexander at the weakside spot or takes a redshirt if he comes. We've got Beckwith who damn well better start at SLB this fall. Welter starts at MLB but Garrett takes over around midseason. I think Young's future is probably at WLB just because Garrett's such a natural MLB and Beckwith is bigger.

ETA: Thought you meant Kwon not Donnie, lol

Alexander is nowhere near as polished as Young, right now.

He is a very instinctive linebacker, and that is probably the most important trait. I sure hope he ends up in purple and gold.

I agree with you about them being amazing, but let's not sell the guys short that came before them. Remember Minter, Shepard...etc? It is not like we have just been average at LB. Again, I'm not knocking your post. I mostly agree with you.

We are going to need some strong DTs as well to keep the line off of them. Welter would have been a bit better this season with stronger DT play.

It's been said many times that Les likes him at DE. But I totally agree he should be playing SLB!
