I was really hoping we could start poaching Memphis with all the ties we have their. Nice pickup and welcome aboard. ?

Hopefully jarrell being with the Grizzlies will help with that

Anyone know if he has a 3 point shot? I take it he's a bit of a tweener being a PF in a SF body if he doesnt have a consistent outside game.

Does he compare at all to a guy like Michael Qualls (sans outside game)? They are very similar in body size.

Qualls is an explosive athlete. Sims isn't THAT athletic. I see a skilled undersized 4 that can develop into a solid 4 year player. Not a guy you want to be the centerpiece of your recruiting class, but with at least 4 '16 scholarships (maybe more depending on next season) he's a nice first pick up.

Found this on Sims:

LINK

Pretty much led the Louisiana Elite team recently. Unfortunately that team was pretty starved of talent.

Qualls had no outside game his freshman year, he developed it.

As a freshman, he could dunk. And that was about it.

I remember Qualls specifically which is why I mentioned him in comparison to Sims being built so similar. Qualls developed his 3 point range his sophomore season at Arkansas, before that he was basically just a dunker (a damn good one).

Sounds like a Tazmin Mitchell type of player. Maybe a little more athletic?

Regardless, nice pickup by CJJ.

He's around 6'6"/6'7". He's a little undersized for his position but he can play either the 4 or 5. The kid is a baller!

Glad to have him But he Won't be playing any 5 in his career. Much like a lot of high schoolers he needs to learn the sculls to play the 3 in college. Welcome Mr Sims

That's what I'm thinking. Of course, I am basing that only what others are saying. Although, if he's as athletic as they say, then he will be a lot more athletic than Tasmin.
