A friend's son plays for Katy, (Cedar Hill's opponent). They are talked up as maybe the best defensive team in the state of Texas. McMillan and his mates have their work cut out if they are going to defend their title. So far McMillan is proving to be a decent athlete by not getting sacked on every passing down. Katy is overwhelming the Cedar Hill OL at this point.

Not at all, Prom. Just playing a super defense. Hasn't had time to really display his passing ability. Does have some escape ability.

Too bad. He had a bit of a drive going until that. JM, like a lot of southpaws, exhibits a dart-thrower type arm on short to intermediate routes. Struggles a bit with very short throws, like the screen he overthrew for an interception. I think he should look to run against this defense but hasn't so far. Definitely more of a pocket passer from what I've seen here and in his film. FWIW if he had Katy's OL he'd probably be doing very well. Losing 13-2 at half.

They're just trying to keep McMillan healthy, using other guys at QB and wildcat in obvious run downs. He came in and threw a nice fade for the TD to Lodge.

Very Solid. He displayed a strong arm when he had time to throw over the middle and pretty good pocket presence. Definitely something to work with at the SEC level IMO. Les and Frank need to start recruiting the sophomore backup QB Davis who looks like a future SEC running back.
