So Kirklin gets an offer now for FY 17. He is listed on 247 as being 5'11". Why is he getting such an early offer if height at the QB position is a concern? In other words why did they wait so late to offer Scott? If height is a concern then there is plenty of time and talent at that position to pursue taller higher rated QBs. Was this maybe a learning lesson for the coaching staff?

He's an athlete, won't be a QB here.

We had a chest-less 5* recruit committed until November. Offering anybody else would have hurt his feelings.

Watch the second play of his junior highlights and get back to me.

The staff has in fact learned their lesson. Only sub six foot QBs from here on out

While I'm glad he's not being recruited as a QB because it would be great to lock in Narcisse, I'd be disappointed if he doesn't get a shot at QB.

The dude's arm is live. He throws great touch passes and accurate short crossing routes with ease. If he's 5'11", than Lindsey Scott is 5'9". He's a really long athlete. He's a helluva runner. He actually reminds me a lot of Narcisse.

Not being recruited as a qb. Has a 45" vertical.

They are looking at him as a DB prospect.

Think Corey Webster. If you don't understand after that, I can't help you.

He honestly looks like 6'-6'1" to me. He's got great size for a FS prospect.

If he's already 5'11", then he will be 6' or taller after his senior year. He's still growing.

You don't think he has great arm strength?

I'm a huge Lindsey Scott fan, but Kirklin's arm looks stronger. Maybe he's not that accurate. His highlight reel is pretty short, but his arm is live, meaning the ball fires out of his hand. He can make all the throws for sure.

I love Kirkin as an athlete. I've watched him last couple of years. He would be a good get. Arm strength seems adequate, but Scott strength looks superior. Notice in Kirklins short film there is almost a complete absence of vertical throws. He has good arm speed, but velocity does not appear to match the arm speed. DB/ATH all the way.

Different body types all together. Kirklins long legged (lower torso). Scott 210-215 lbs.More compact. Very close in height. Different distribution

I know they seem to be recruiting him as an athlete. But I've been watching him for a couple of years and to me he has progressed to be an outstanding QB.

In the Dome this year I'd say he was more impressive than Narcisse. Of course I never seen Narcisse play when he is 100% healthy so I'm sure his upside is very high.
