Our potential backfield could be LF, JB, Williams and Palelei.

He needs to have the ball in his hands. Getting 5 touches per game will be a greater impact than him in the defensive backfield.

I can see him being used similar to the way Cam used Pierce to spell ray.

Thus guy is like D'Anthony, who I don't think has gotten injured since coming to Oregon. Both of them played on defense so they are durable enough it seems. McCalleb rarely had an injury if ever with his 4 year stint at Auburn.

i think by the time he gets carries, he'll put on enough weight and be strong enough to run between the tackles.

I don't get this now after seeing a guy like Chris Johnson running straight into the teeth of NFL defenses for 5 years without a scratch. At least test the guy first before you say he can't do it.

He was a 5'11 175lb 2-star with 4.4 speed, Brazil is a 5'10 180-185lb 4-star with 4.32 speed out of high school. I say you bulk this guy up to about 190-195lbs and that will ensure his speed is intact while giving him a bigger, hopefully more powerful body.

Thomas Tyner who is 6ft has a 200lb frame and runs a 4.3 something is considered as what Oregon has been missing in the backfield.

He may not be ideal sized for RB(at least what we're used to) but anyone worried about Brazil's frailty hasn't seen him. He's a very well put together 190+ on a 5'9 frame. He's a rock and may be the best conditioned athlete on the team as soon as he hits campus. He'll be fine.

You must've read that on an Oregon site

It's hard to tell what position he will end up at while he's not even on campus yet. We will see how it plays out.

Probably not. He might get a few carries like Russell Shepard, but he'll mostly be our kick returner, and a defensive back or receiver.

Shep wasn't built like this as a senior in college:

I thought I remember seeing it on somewhere but not on any Oregon site. Anyway on tape the guy is fast ane at 6ft 200lbs he looks the part of a big, quick RB.

ETA: yeah just looked it up. Rivals has him listed as 4.38 while 24/7 has him at 4.30.

probably is, you know how off the recruiting sites are on hieght and weight. He could easily be our Sproles option out the backfield.

I said that cause they think every skill position player on their team runs sub 4.4. Tyner is nowhere near that fast; that would put him on Brazil's level.
