He has some deceptive speed. It wouldn't shock me if he ran a 4.8 though. I was surprised to see him always rated so high and offered so quickly. It's hard to tell against the competition how good he will be, but he has really done a nice job developing as a wr. He's far better at getting into his cuts and positioning his body to make a play on the ball. I think he's still a bit raw, but he could be a guy in a couple of years that could just be impossible to stop.

Stop looking at ESPN recruiting for anything. They have Guice at 4.61 and anybody who has saw any of his high school tape or the Army AA game know that's a damn lie.

They use times from the NO Nike combine (if the kids were there) and that is a notoriously slow track. Some fast kids run 4.6s and high 4.5s at that thing. Wouldn't worry about the times listed on a site. Most are not valid.

As for the Can Sims reference, different classes lead to different offers and takes. If Ferguson were in the 15 class he wouldn't have an offer either. If Sims were this year he'd have one. Sometimes its just timing. If Sims had come to camp last year he would've likely have left with an offer especially if he performed like he did at other camps. Just circumstances that lead to him being a nonoffer.

No it isnt, a good time for a player his size would be a 4.6.

Some players actually do get faster with training, though... so he's a 4.8 right now... what makes you think he could never get to 4.6?

i'm no expert but I did see him play and he's tough, he plays with intensity, he could end up on defense . At 6'5" and 200+ pounds you take him, academics may be a factor for the lack of bigger D-1 offers.

I've seen Jazz play for quite some time. He's a stud a four sport athelete. Really he's a 4 star guy that could've very well been a 5 star because he didn't attend a lot of camps. Also being from a rural area with not much media attention. He basically got the most of his attention from LSU camps. He's probably in the range of 4.4 to 4.5 in the 40. Watching him these years have been super exciting. Trust me this guy will turn heads on the field his freshman year. He's a natural athelete and very studious.

Jazz runs a low 4.5 in the 40
Long jumps 23 feet
Runs low 22 in the 200
Averageing 30 pts 10 rebounds a game this year
Can throw a baseball in mid to upper 80's
Jazz can play and will play the position he wants!! Best athlete LSU is going to get
Forget stars.

Posted by Awesome All Day I've noticed that those times are rarely accurate. It was probably a time recorded when was a sopohmore at a camp and ESPN just never updated it. Also, as far as his list goes, he was a very early commit to his state school. When that happens a lot of schools don't bother offering because they know it's a long shot to flip him. That could be the reason you think his offer list is "meh", you can't always trust what is on those sites. LSU offered and excepted his commitment, he mt be pretty good despite what ESPN might say.

Those times are never right. Ferguson is likely a 4.5 guy.
