Did he really drop us to 4th? People on Rivals are going nuts over this. I say it is BS because I have not seen anything legit and it goes against everything I have heard but I just wanted to check.

Florida/USC and it looks like an effort on Meyer's part to recruit negatively (what's new) but it is what it is and everyone around here has been helping with their crazy negative feelings and world's going to end perspective. (in regards to the DCs situation).
The moral of the story is that we're not out of it with Jones or McFarland by any means. People around here need to shape up (I'm not holding much hope, and I'm not saying drink the kool-aid but I am encouraging everyone to be supportive and positive).
Jones still has to come on his official I believe (cuz the Bama game was an unofficial) And McFarland has said it's down to OU/Texas but he would be willing to take a look at us again, lord knows Shep will prolly be in his ear the rest of the way (including when they play).

I still think we get an official. Miles will do a good job of damage control.
In the meantime, people around here need to get their head out of their arse. Like I said earlier, you don't need to drink the kool-aid but damnit, support the team. It's not like anyone around here complaining or not is really gonna make miles think..........yeah that IS a good idea. He'll take care of it. Let him do his job and stop giving other coaches something to use as any sort of leverage.

The recruiting board has turned into the rant and now other coaches are using peoples' rants to put in the ears of recruits and it seems as if it might have helped in a couple of instances (hint: this thread).
Damage control would be Miles telling Jones what he intends to do with the defense and assuring him that everything will be just fine..........because it WILL be just fine.

The Troy game was the icing on the cake for the Rantards, which carried over to this board, which is usually not too bad.
I checked this morning after logging off last night and it was full on chaos.
Coupled with the fact McFarland cut us and now apparently J. Jones is down on us.

Somewhat perhaps but the coach doing negative recruiting is pointing out what happens on the field primarily and relating it to lack of coaching.

Thanks for the info. I kinda/sorta figured that's what happened from reading between the lines. Geez, it musta been sumfin if it was much worse than the last coupla weeks. This place WAS beginning to resemble the Rant. Thank goodness, things have seemed to settle down a bit. Again, thanks for the update....
