That's ok. The point is - we play a lot of nickel.... 5 DB's on the field means we need at least 15 DB's on the roster ...

And I think we're at 15 now.

How is this happening ?

Brian Kelly doesn’t even talk to recruits and he has no ties to the south. Not even to mention he’s a terrible cultural fit.

Incredible!!

Love what BK is doing. Building a high character roster through the portal full of leaderships and former Louisiana guys. Oh yeah, he's getting some quite talented guys too did I mention? Smartest move ever. This team may surprise next year big time if all the chemistry comes together fast.

I think you’re gonna see a very passionate team next year. A lot of these guys are coming for their last few seasons to represent their home state. We’re going to be a scrappy team next year I feel like

This position went from being a weak spot on the team to what looks to be pretty good. Still think the defensive line is going to be our strong point but CBK is improving the secondary every day. Can't wait to see the final product he puts on the field now.

Brian Kelly might be a moron when it comes to the culture of Louisiana, but he's smart enough to ask the right questions to the right people & then adapt accordingly.

Do you really think it's a coincidence that 1 of his 1st moves was to take Frank Wilson away from McNeese & have him leading the recruiting charge?

Local people are giving him their opinions, & he's smart enough to know who to listen to.

I don't think some people realize what we have in CBK. He was being held back by ND, & he's going to prove it.

Will he be able to enroll this semester and be able to participate in spring practice? I know he's a graduate transfer but spring semester already started, how does that work?

Jarrick Bernard-Converse

Jarrick Bernard-Converse

Jarrick Bernard-Converse
quote:

[When] Jarrick Bernard turned 18 years old . . . , the family began the paperwork for Brian Converse’s legal adoption of the boy he had helped raise since the age of 4.

“It had always been a serious idea, but we had to wait for Jarrick to turn 18 for the legal process to begin,” Dana said. “Brian and Jarrick have a unique relationship. For Brian to step in and play a role he didn’t have to play, and that he accepted Jarrick as his own and didn’t treat Jarrick different, that was very important.”

* * *

After the adoption became official, Jarrick made the decision to add “Converse” to his name as well, and recognize the man who meant so much to him.

“I felt like it was right to pay some respect to him,” Jarrick said. “He’s been my father-figure since I was 4. I look at him like he’s my real dad. I love him to death.”

* * *

“It means a lot to me for him to say that he wanted to take on my last name,” Converse said. “To see my last name on the back of his jersey, it means a lot. I know where he comes from, from the start, him trying to play football, and to now, the young man he has grown into. And I’m proud to say that I’m part of his life and he can call me Dad.
