Young talent out of Baton Rouge, La. Nice footwork, solid route running, great hands and plenty of room for development. 5'11 160 but he is only a junior (class of 2017). Last season Jacob Kennedy accounted for 61 catches, 1119 receiving yards and 8 TD.

What's up Jacob? Nice tape. Get your weight up and go to camp.

If LSU were to offer, where would they rank on your list of schools?

I really haven't pressured him to decide a list yet I really just want him to focus on this upcoming school year and continuing to do what he does on the field. Just looking to get him some exposure.

Absolutely get into as many camps as possible. He needs to be a camp "WHORE"(sorry i couldn't think of a better way to say it). I have been involved with recruiting for several years now and that is some of the best advice I could give. Also you could look in to parent consulting services.

If you can't get that LSU offer try La Tech. and I personally think Ulm will be a good school in 3 years. But like everyone has said camps are a good way for exposure.

Good hands. Plays tough. Looked bigger than 160. BUT.......
Most of those stats were piled up against schools that frankly are just not very good.
He is at no point breaking away from their DBs or even LBs. So unless he sprouts up to about 6'4'' 225, he is just not fast enough or big enough to play competitively at the next level. Focus on his grades, make sure he is enjoying his time in high school and cultivating other interests.

These are sophomore highlights. He had an injury this year after about the 4th game and had to sit out the rest of the season. He bulked up to about 185 and he is probably about 6'0 now. He's only 17 so he can still grow.

There are plenty of schools out there. DI DII DIII, Juco, If he puts in the work he can play somewhere. Get him to some camps. Needs more highlights too. I didn't see enough.

Edit : wait if he's 6'0 185 now why did you say 5'11 160 in the OP? Im confused.

He posted this in August, so it's possible the kid put on weight and grew and inch since then.

If he played at 160 as a soph and is now 185 after his junior year I could see that weight gain. If he was 160 in August and is 185 now, that's not good weight. Seems to have good hands, but not the fastest guy. Needs to worry about working on his speed and getting to as many camps as possible.
