This guy is coming to a summer camp. If he's good enough, he'll earn an offer.

Whether true or not, that's the first reference to Wilson taking plays off I have heard. Has anyone here actually seen the guy live and watched him for an entire game? Or even better, has anyone seen the wide view film? Not reslly getting my hopes up.

It blows my mind how someone would commit to A&M over Texas and LSU.

You can't commit to Texas or LSU when you don't have an offer from Texas or LSU.

A&M fans should not get too excited about having this kid. The only way A&M keeps him is if LSU never offers

Texas told him they would offer when he got on campus. If he really wanted lsu he would have waited for an offer.

Courtney Faye Roland @CourtneyRivals

Texas A&M commit Ishmael Wilson said he will not be going to Texas. He said done with junior days and confident in his commitment.

What do we have to offer? We offer the only texas sec destination. After this last round of recruiting, I have ZERO doubt of the impact it has had.

Maybe he is putting pressure on LSU to offer, which they should...

Yeah, sure he is...until he gets an LSU offer

It is so painfully obvious but don't tell too many A&M fans that. The ones on here are a little more knowledgeable of what is going on, but I'm scared to go to TexAgs to see what they are saying about he is a "lock" now.

If he really did say he is shutting it down, this is nowhere close to Golden's situation. Golden has actually talked a lot about A&M while Wilson has said LSU is his DREAM school and maintained that even after his Texas visit.

Lorenzo Phillips said the same last year too when he commited to UF, we'll see though.

If Wilson eventually visits LSU, we'll know he's still wanting that offer.

The better question is if LSU feels they should waste time on him now. Doesn't mean LSU will recruit him that hard now that he is committed.

If he really wanted to go to LSU, committing to TAMU was about the last thing he needed to do.

Committing to A&M has been a decent strategy for an LSU offer for others...
