What experience does O have in recruiting QBs outside of his time at Ole Miss?

I can promise you the survey would say Coach Medulla Oblongata is just now learning how to play checkers, while EVERYONE else is playing chess!!!!

the offer to Tua is a move to show the Lane Kiffen is coming to be our OC.

I definitely believe that is true!

quote:

he is about as close to a lock as any player in the country.

I agree with that also and would find it extremely hard to believe that we can flip him "Tua" even if Kiffin does come to LSU you can bet Sark is going to be OC at Bama and that probably is enough to keep Tua!

quote:

rom our eyes this offer is (a) going to burn bridges with Brennan (which we were all proven correct after seeing his de-commitment) and Lowell;

Which is all it has accomplished as you point out and that is a HUGE problem considering how badly we have f*cked up QB recruiting in the past.

Every stint he has had as recruiting coordinator.

I mean do you not think he knows offering other QBs, will upset the ones he has committed?

Seeing as though Coach O has been recruiting kids to major college programs for decades, I am going to go out on a limb and say he probably knows the basics... The people that thing he just didn't know what he was doing, screwed up, and lost one of our best commits are laughable.

I'm genuinely curious - how many top QBs has Orgeron recruited?

Recruiting DTs and DEs is not in the same stratosphere as recruiting QBs. 4+ DEs may be in your rotation so playing time and scheme aren't nearly as significant as they are at QB.

The media is in spin mode for O and they're creating intrigue to sell subs

If we land some inferior QB to TT and MB they'll spin it as a win. You watch

I feel like I am reading aTm's 247 board with all the melting happening....so disappointing. If he doesn't want to come here then so be it. Move on. Trust that this coaching staff has a plan in place to get it done.

They don't even need to spin it

Our half retarded fan base will find a way to do that

It is still entirely plausible that he screwed up though. He doesn't have an OC hired yet found a way to lose a top QB recruit who has stuck with LSU through all of the coaching drama.

O may not know a hell of lot, but he knows how to recruit 18 year old kids

I can't believe I'm saying this but O probably knows what he's doing here

The whole "he hasn't recruited QBs". Lol. Like one 18 year old prima donna that plays LB or LT is different than some 18 year old prima donna that plays QB? It's not like he wouldn't understand that offering another guy a position would affect one currently committed. That's true of any position.

That's the problem. No one trusts this staff. The head guy should not have been hired as head coach

He's recruiting a QB without an OC in tow. How are so quick to trust something like that?
