I think they have him on the backburner in case they miss out on a couple of guys, namely Reed and Wright, or if either of the OOS WRs decommit. I'm pretty sure our DB class is finished, so if he were stil in the picture it's at WR, unless they sign him as a DB and switch Simon to WR.

Yes, Fobbs is in the picture now. But if we land commitments from Reed and Wright then you can count him out.

LSU began recruiting him as a wide receiver instead of a DB, if this continues we might just land his commitment. Right now I think it's first come first serve. If Fobbs wants to commit and Wright/ Reed are still on the board, then Wright is out and vice versa. Reed has a reserved spot I'm sure.

BTW, Fobbs won't come here if the staff wants him to be a defensive back.

He was in the picture, and about to switch IMO,until they saw Tyrann Mathieu at camp, and then the Fobbs train left the building IMO.

If I was the staff I wouldn't take another DB until after Shaw visits unless it's a stud.

How many slots are still open? I think this should be a serious consideration, doubt Les and co. will be accepting too many more unless its someone near the top of their boards. 3-4 slots left, no? Doubt LSU will oversign and ask some to greyshirt, with the small class we will have next year.

If he wanted to commit today they'd take him.

If LSU lands James Wright and he tries to commit..I don't know what would happen. I can't believe that they wouldn't hold a spot for Trovon Reed and I don't think they can possibly take more than 2 receivers.

Fobbs and Mathieu don't play the same position.

They were looking at Fobbs at DB but I think Mathieu allows him to get a shot at WR first, if he'd switch over.

I doubt Fobbs is a Tiger. We were only recruiting him for db. TM closed the door.

He's been told he'll get a shot at WR now.

like I said before that is not true any more. Some of the "experts" are saying that it is now first come, first serve between Fobbs and Wright.
