Is anyone else confused about the excitement of signing Cincinnati, Arkansas, & USL guys?

I understand the secondary and WR room being thin, but there’s no doubt if you turn the talent level to even the best ULL, Cincy, and Arkansas players… we’ll be getting our asses kicked.

Edit 1/18 530p - My apologies for the above posts. I now realize it was short sighted and dumb based on the alignment I can now see with the program under CBK. I’ll post less moving forward.

What Cincy guy are we signing?

Also, your question sucks and you suck.

Great logic....

All of Special Eds 5 stars did nothing but wonders for us these past two years

Either be excited for the future or GTFO

I get where you’re coming from, but I’m sure every team in the country would’ve liked to have had Cinci’s 2 starting corners. Same goes for Burks from Arkansas.

I get the point you are trying to make. If we were 1 or 2 guys away from a complete team then maybe sure but we are about 25 to 35 guys away from a complete team. We need depth. We need numbers.

Plus Foucha is battle tested. Way better than someone like Darren Evans coming in and Evans played his heart out this year. We need depth and all of these guys will give it to us.

No if you got the best players off all those type teams you’d be really, really good. You wouldn’t have the Jamar Chase game breaker most likely, but you’re not understanding that the top guys at those schools are very good football players.

Cinci was a CFP team, Arkansas is much much better now thanks to these guys, and UL has been great the last few years... what's the concern? they're not LA tech guys

We aren’t in a position to be super picky. The roster that was left for BK from a numbers standpoint is inexcusable. If it makes you feel better, all of the guys we’ve taken have offers from a bunch of top programs.

So handpicking teams best players out of the portal is a problem for you? That’s kind of what the nfl does.

All 3 of those teams were better than us this year.

The Arky transfer is a great get. You just got a guy with over 200 career tackles in the SEC.

Do you think these teams have no good players?

Doubt it. It would be called depth and scheme and coaching.

Arkansas beat us

I’m sure you’re often confused about a lot of things. I would definitely be excited about the 3 Cincinnati players that have first round NFL draft grades for the upcoming draft. Lucky for them NFL GM’s aren’t as interested in what logo was on their helmet to determine if they can play.

You think those schools don't send players to the NFL?

Mind boggling attitude people have towards taking proven, experienced, NFL draftable talent that want to play for LSU before going pro. Absolutely insane.

Are you under the impression that non power 5 players don’t make it to the NFL? You know a lot of those stars are based off exposure and camps, right? There’s a lot of talent that’s unseen, prior to college.

Maybe you missed the part where we suited up 38 scholarship players for the bowl game, but we are thin as frick all over the place. I’d rather guys from Cincy, Arky, and USL for depth than no fricking depth at all.

If we're all honest with ourselves, we are glad they weren't on the schedule this year.
