Getting our hopes up just to have these kids dash them. I'm not going to even watch NSD.

Wish we had more kids like Trey Quinn, Ed Paris and CG3 that committed early and helped to recruit more. Those guys are to be commended.

Agreed.

Those kids blatantly lying about their plans to other people has turned me off for the most part. I'll wait until signing day. I've since cancelled my accounts on the recruiting boards.

Adoree - Final 3 includes Florida/UCLA/USC

Wrong...

He has 1 OV left to take and he's trying to decide out of that list. He has already visited LSU.

We are still in the mix, Cam Cameron and Raymond are flying to LA tonight, and the Chief is going to St. Louis to see Adoree's parents tomorrow....

Didnt know Adoree named his top 3. wow!

He didn't.

People misread the story. He's choosing one of those three for his last official visit. Nobody has been eliminated. Adoree actually spoke very highly of Coach Miles in that same story and the LSU staff is going hard after Adoree today on the trail

Yeah my bad we aren't out of it with Adoree. Top 3 was where he wanted to take his last visit

The year with Bryce Brown was pretty crazy. Randle was NSD, Jackson flipped on NSD, Brown was post-NSD, etc. there were others too.

With the amount of time the staff is spending on him, I hope we are still in it at least...

I have no doubt it was all a deliberate thing done to hurt the image of LSU. Why? That's another story.

Please elaborate...

Sorry. I didn't mean to imply that I knew the actual reason for this though I have thoughts. Instead, my point was that BOTH of these guys from the SAME school gave Les Miles their assurances of their commitments the morning of 1/2 and then left the home team hanging. I have zero problem with a kid not wanting to come here. I do however, dislike the lies and shock value that these kids seem to live in. Just be a man and state your intention. There is no need to lie to the staff unless there is some "motive" behind it.

Do you know this for sure? Personally (from what I read) Speedy Noil was very quiet about recruitment and never struck me as an attention guy. Even the same with Gerald Willis. They didn't say much and I was okay with that. But again I had very little to go on.

Attacking someones character is a serious thing and you have to have your ducks in a row to do so.

Another thing. If what you say is true I would tend to agree that we don't need those guys......But. If one of them changes his mind and decides to come here and sees this kind of talk about him does that help our cause?

Long story short, in my opinion, information like you are sharing should be kept in your back pocket.

I am not attacking you either man. You seem to be well balanced.

I too think and actually hope we dodged a few bullets with the ones we missed. I'd love to fill the class with 4 and 5 star guys, but if we can get a few diamonds in the rough 3 star guys ala Claiborne, I will be ecstatic. Getting 3star guys will cause this class to lose some luster, but if they turn into contributing starters down the road, all is good.
NSD cant get here soon enough.

Do I know this for sure? No, because I was not in the room. But I know who was. I don't expect a statement like this to go over well on this board and I have no way to prove it. It's true that Speedy was pretty "non committal" about his intent but that's to the general public. The person in the room that overheard the conversation between Speedy and Miles and Willis and Miles is about as solid as it gets. If he tells me something it's the gospel and is good enough for me. Again, I have no expectation for anyone to believe it but I was asked a few posts back so there it is. That's a good point about if a kid flipped and read this what it could do to our chances of landing said recruit. I can assure you 100% that the staff knows what these guys are about and the "damage" has already been done. Some bridges would need rebuilding.

Emotionally, nothing has compared to this yr. I was delusional that we'd get all "our" guys. The Karr duo and Tony brown still make me sniff glue.

yet we can still land on our feet with oos guys. and only time will tell but there's an even chance our new guys (assuming we get them) will be better than the guys than spurned us. no science here.

i absolutely believe 100% that 2 or 3 of the 1/2 announcement kids lied straight up to our coaches. That's why we are in this situation today. it IS NOT our coaches fault that they believed in state kids who they have been recruiting well for almost 2 years. It was just bad business by these youngsters but hopefully it will be a eductional tool for our coaches.
This is the reason we are reaching deep down our recruiting board still contacting some of the kids who we would not be looking at had the Jan 2 kids stuck to their word
