Final stats:

Moses with 13 tkls for the 2nd week in a row. Had a nice sideline pop, too

Delpit with 3tkls, one forced fumble, and one play-action bite.

Ausbon with 2 catches for 13 yards, and two great leaping red-zone TDs, but one of them was a 23 yard TD that was called back.
Too many times Ausbon was forced to block because of Mond running for 2 or 3 yards every single play..

Ausbon had some good blocks. One of them was great, he actually manhandled the guy all the way out of bounds on the sideline where the players were standing.

I must admit, Moses didnt wow me in game, but he is always around the ball or tackle. To me, he kinda plays like a bigger Ali Highsmith. He's always around the play. He doesn't really jump off the page with multiple highlight reel truck stick type of hits, but having 13 tackles in split duty is no scrub output. I hope he comes home, because we can never have enough consistent, sure tackling LBs with that type of speed and athleticism.

I have never seen a fan base want to call a top recruit overrated as much as LSU fans want to call Moses overrated. The expectations are just so unrealistic for this kid. He's an incredible athlete who is still learning to be an incredible football player. Always being around the ball isn't something that's accidental. He had the athleticism to get to the ball every single time.

He's all Tiger. It's time we return the favor and get behind him as well.

ETA: not singling you out mkibod1. This is more of a general PSA.

Will make him signing elsewhere sting less, even though most think he will sign with the good guys. I just think our fans are a little cautious to get excited about him now, since he was committed and then opened back up.

I agree, but I also don't blame people for feeling the way they do. People that I respect have told me multiple times that he hasn't stood out to them on the field. It's not just random Tiger fans.

I used to think he was a tad overrated. However, moving to IMG was the best thing that could have happened. His instincts aren't great right now, but hopefully that improves. Physically, there is maybe no one more college ready than him. He is a sideline to sideline LBer who is able to stick his face in the trenches. He projects as an OLB on the next level, and could be deadly in a 3-4 as a blitzer off the edge.

Hard to improve on 13 tackles per game

To mkibod1:

He's made 13 tackles per game this season. I don't give a shite how he tackles the sumbitches or how it looks when he hits them. The guy made 13 tackles...that's a good game for anybody. Just to show you how dumb it is to say he didn't knock their heads off when he tackled them...THERE IS NOT A STAT IN FOOTBALL THAT RECORDS HOW MANY "BIG HITS" A PLAYER MAKES FOR A REASON. The reason being is that its irrelevant.

I haven't seen IMG blitz him yet.

I have no clue why considering his speed & size advantage.

But that's part of the reason why people are not seeing big hits/sacks/TFL.

It's almost like IMG is using All-star game rules where LB's can't blitz. Very odd coaching, for sure, because those rules don't apply.

I just can't wait till Aranda gets him.

Until then, I'm totally satisfied with 26 tackles in two games.

I think this is what led to people thinking he was overrated. At U High, every game he played he was, more times than not, by far the best athlete on the field. This probably lead to complacency on his part, and it's not necessarily a bad thing, it happens to everyone at some point. Especially when you dominate something for so long. Him going to IMG and practicing with the best athletes, and playing against top teams every week, gave him a renewed drive to succeed.

And this is a kid who is still learning the position. Once he learns how to make reads and actually play LB instead of just relying on pure athleticism, he's gonna be a fricking monster.

Ok I've got to jump in here. Y'all realize the running back he faced last night is going to Michigan? He helped shut down a good back making 13 tackles. Moses is going to be an above average college linebacker and I hope like hell he's in purple and gold. We need him.

Someone who is "all Tiger" has LSU as his leader. He doesn't.

Hope he comes, but I will never consider him as being a recruit who is "all Tiger"
