While I hope Ed O kills it and that we are seeing a new successful era, there is nothing that feels different about recruiting at this point other than you seem to love Evangel kids. My guess is you are a grad?

Also referencing Kansas booms as anything other than a joke hurts credibility. I like that we are getting commits and hope they are great, but Kansas is not a competitor for real players, and we have locked up big players early for many consecutive years now.

Hopefully we get the vocal kid who recruits as hard as the coaches soon. Hopefully it's one of the Evangel kids and others listen, but right now, nothing seems different with recruiting.

I would be thrilled if Ed can maintain the recruiting we've had previously and the real changes we see on the field next year.

Yet, you do realize you spend a lot of time watching the decisions of 19 year olds (practices, games, etc) and a ton of time monitoring people talking about the decisions of 19 year olds?

Oh, not really...I don't do much on The Rant.

Look, I love all of y'all...y'all know this.

I apologize for the ruffled feathers - it honestly was not my intent.

Cool. Does that mean you agree, disagree, ambivalence?

While I respect that you have a feeling in your plums, you do realize that LSU recruiting has been lights out regardless of class rankings? This is reflected in NFL players, early enrollees, professional success, etc..

Recruiting was never Les's problem.

Our recruiting was never bad. I understand that. But like others have stated, it wasn't talent that was lacking it was quality depth at positions of need. For instance, aside from a few guys here and there our defensive lines have lacked in talent. Also, there was a trend being set where it was becoming "cool" to be from Louisiana and not go to LSU. Having three of the top guys from Evangel commit this early together is in fact a change from the trend.

I double upvoted because I couldn't agree more with the original post. It is really crazy that those three dudes are that good, on the same team, in the same class. I could easily give all three of those guys a five star rating.
If they don't win state this year, it won't be because of defense.
Being a New Orleans, native, I will state my bias when I say that my hometown is littered with talented ball players. That said, I've been heavy into football in Shreveport are since 2012 (moved here in 2011) And over the past 5 years, I can bare witness to the fact, that Shreveport is home to some gangstas on that football field.

P.S.
The next beast out of Evangel will be a kid named Christian Perry. Straight beast. Right now he is listed as an offensive lineman.
He could easily play on defense. He'll dominant any side of the front line.

Good Lord. Do you need a safe space, snowflake? It's shitty that I wonder how some of y'all live and die on the decisions made by 16/17/18 year olds? It's shitty that I voice my own opinion on a topic on a message board? I never said that you couldn't have your opinion, I just find it interesting how deep SOME of y'all get with it.
Way too many on here, TR and SECR have just too little tolerance for varying and contradictory opinions that are different than their own.

Gonna be a rude awakening when they reach the adult world and find out that everything will not be just as they like or prefer.

Nothing wrong with closely following all aspects of LSU Football/Sports, (I do) but I have problems with individuals (Of Any Age) that go overboard in their support and have no life what-so-ever outside of supporting LSU Athletic events. Their entire existence, with no outside interests, revolves around LSU Sports. (Sad and spooky, just like a high % of Alabama fans) Lumps vs Gumps.........
