Hootie can look to Landon Collins who was the #1 or #2 Safety in the country and the best HS player I ever saw play a game to see that he is sitting the bench three yrs into his time at Bama.

i keep reading over, and over about no PT for Collins and then i look at the stat sheet from the VT game and he got 5 tackles (3 UA & 2 A)...is what PT he's getting only on special teams?

Hootie, Clark, Sims, and Cam are all tight...and regardless of Jones saying their decision won't effect his, like JJ27 mentioned earlier, the others are going to be putting tons of pressure on him to follow (assuming Clark goes to Bama...which i'm guessing he will).

here's Dietrich's short segment on Jones from today.

and that's the way it should be. but there's no denying the pressure that will be applied, unless he really already knows where he's going. i mean, Cam said he knew this summer where he was going.

Like I said earlier today...I know hootie as well as I know diarse... with exception of going to Bama camps/scrimmage I've not seen the Bama interest by him. He was at tcu game sitting with numerous LSU recruits...get wears LSU gear frequently and goes to BR every time there is an camp or recruiting event...

Isn't he also tight with Diarse who is also "pressuring" him? And Harris?

Robinson made his decision and that's fine, but him and Sims trying to recruit other guys, even if they aren't successful does chap my arse a little.

what's your take on Sims as a WR at the college level? i haven't seen him play in person, and about the only highlights i've bothered to view are prolly KNOE stuff... but is he a slot/between the hashes type college WR, or can you send him on go routes? will he be able to shake solid press coverage at the next level?

He's slow so no slot....jj27 likes him but I don't see it....he's got a big mouth and likes to run it...he didn't get along with new coaches this summer and was sent home at one time...this comes from OPHS coach....this is just my opinion

Sims sounds more like Bell or Slyve, guys that won't make much of an impact. I don't think they took him just to ger CRob, more likely because they struck out with Lane and know they won;t get Dupre

He's a big body that would be a great red zone target. I don't think he's better than the big 3. I do think the two Cams together would be better than a backup kicker and not having the #1 OL in the nation. It is what it is though. It's over with now. Hopefully the duo doesn't become a trio with Hootie.

Why would Hill leave? At best he'll go round 3 cause rb's arent of high value in the NFL.

Becaus the NFL implemented a rookie wage scale. Everyone gets screwed now and the 2nd contract is where the money is. They're trying to get that initial contract over with ASAP.

No one got screwed. Rookies were getting way too much money(ie Sam Bradford). I think Hill would be 4th round right now due to his problems. If he had an extra year with good behavior he could go 2nd. Even if he makes it to the NFL rb's dont get that much money relatively speaking. The only ones who get big money are every down backs which are a rare breed that Hill is not part of.
