Actually, you seem to have forgotten that he sat out his first season due to the legal issues. He is eligible to go since he will be 3 years removed from high school.

Actually, I was hoping the presence of the at the end would indicate that I was joking/being sarcastic.

It is true but who knows what it means.

EDIT: Just watched the local TV sports & the interviews afterwards. Both of the "Cams" said they were recruiting other prospects hard and focused on Hootie. As far as Hootie personally, he was very non-committal.

I felt good about Hootie...until watching the news. They're going to be on him nonstop until he enrolls early.

Reading some of y'all's posts, today marks the snowball effect where we lose LF and Hootie to Bama.

If this happens we have to look inward at our program to find an answer why. It would be obvious that we are getting outsold for our product. These guys have much less to gain from going to Bama over LSU.

I don't think it will happen simply because Bama is loaded at RB right now and I am sure LF is looking to play soon. Hootie can look to Landon Collins who was the #1 or #2 Safety in the country and the best HS player I ever saw play a game to see that he is sitting the bench three yrs into his time at Bama. At some point these guys have got to see the stories that they are getting from Bama recruiters are pretty close to used car sales pitches.

For this tight knit group of players. It's funny that they want to win but don't care to play with each other. Seems kind of odd.

Everyone seems scattered and doesn't really care to play with one another. I figured they were all talking to each other and trying to join the same team.

I'm very confused about hootie and LF.People are overreacting. The fact is LSU is loaded with talent that Bama fought hard to get, and vice versa. It will remain that way. Some people just don't handle some things as well as others and go predicting doom and gloom (in their infinite wisdom) out of fearful gut feelings. LSU is fine.

What chance in hell do you think we would have to go to Alabama and sign the number one recruit in the nation living there ? The truth of the matter is that are enough great college prospects from Louisiana every year to help keep our teams loaded with talent. maybe this year could have been THE one. there are quality players right now hoping for one of the few schollys left. it's not a disaster to lose cr, but it does matter that satan was the one to steal him away.

The NOLA boys are all tight and want to play at the same school. That includes Paris,LF,Noil,Gerald,Malachi,Young,Alexander.

Unless Hill has an amazing year, he is a fool to go to the NFL. That being said, many fools have done the wrong thing...

This is such a tired cliche. He will not improve his draft stock but he could drop it by getting hurt.

running backs have such a short shelf life as it is, going to the league sooner rather than later is the better decision.

Didn't ware and ford go pro after less than stellar years last season? Last time I checked, they made pro rosters.

Next season we could have Ware (Seattle), Ford (Chicago), Ridley (New England), Keiland (was on redskins but got hurt and will land with a team) and Hill for whomever.

Not mentioning Hester or Richard Murphy too if they sign on somewhere

Bottom line, if Hill is anywhere near the level he was last year ... I am confident he will make a pro team.
