What in state prospects do you consider for a late offer.

Arthur McGinnis
Oshea Dugas
George Lea
John Washington
shun brown
Garrett thomas
Grant Burg

Just to name a few.

Tillery's ship has sailed...Never offered Bussey due to (Guice, Brossette, and Ducre)....I honestly feel it's either Charlot or Dillon for us but not both...all reports are indicating Dillon might be the one who signs with us on NSD.

Garrett Thomas loves LSU.
Not sure why he wasn't offered.
Just know his cousin posts here and said he was a big fan.

Few guys I'd like the staff to consider though most will not get consideration

Kavonte Turpin-kid is legit. I'd have no argument if we used a ship on him. Anyone that has seen his tape will agree. Small but electric

Christian Campbell-actually think he will get an offer at some point.

Dion Ray-only issue is that he wants to play QB hence the ULL commitment. Kids a good athlete

Justin Reid-likely depends on Peters and I'm not sure he'd take it anyway. Kid has major options

Henry Black-dont think we need another CB but he's got the size and talent

Jalen Bates-not quite the athlete Michael Patterson was but has the same kind of risk/reward value. Never know with DL recruits. We need a DE and if we miss then why not

Tyrell Jacobs-dont think we need a DT and I like the Lea kid more, as well as Milton, but you can never have too many DL in this league

Oshea Dugas-i would've offered already. Kid can play. Wouldn't surprise me if he got an offer at the end

Grant Burguillos-admittedly a fan because of his dad and his love for the Tigers but this is a kid that can play all 5 spots on the OL and that is not something you find every day. IMO he's safer than a couple of OL we have committed. Not as much pure upside as Brown or Shipley but he's safer. Kid moves well and knows how to play the position. If we took him I'd bet he's the starting C in 2-3 years. OL is a crap shoot and guys that work their arse off like Grant make it in the NFL for a decade.

I really like McGinnis too. We'll see though, but I bet they wouldn't finish this class and load up next year.

Hopefully Steele has met with AM already because he does like his style of LB

I like bigger LBs as well but ones like Beckwith or Garrett. They have to be able to move. If talking a Bama LB, then Mosely is the one I loved. If we are going multiple then we need bigger LBs but again they need to be able to run.

Also would love our guys to be as disciplined as Bamas but that's just not likely IMO. That whole defense is disciplined and that's why they are so good. Without discipline that defense is average to mediocre. Not because of talent but because the pieces would be out of place without the discipline. They are too big and mechanical to be allowed to freelance. Saban and company deserve credit for that discipline and getting those young men to buy in like they do.

Also, the lack of last minute offers thus far leads me to believe the staff feels comfortable landing some of these big fish. We really don't see any offers or moves of desperation at this point

Javahn ferguson probably gets in this class too

Alabama's LBers can be had. If I remember right, in the 2011 regular season game after Jefferson came in, LSU was able to get to the outside on them. LSU didn't exactly roll down the field but they were not ready for a mobile QB. And they have had trouble before also... Georgia Southern ran through/around them like swiss cheese. But yeah, I got sick of Chavis and his undying love for "hybrid LBers"...IMO, still not good enough for coverage and not big enough to stuff a RB. A lot of people call those guys "tweeners"...NOT a good thing!

That's what I meant by without discipline they'd be average. They don't move well in space and its why they've not been as good the past 2 years. Their ranking is good because their DL and talent/strength are too much for most teams that can't match up physically. Look at their defensive stats versus teams that can match them physically at the LOS and you'll see they can be had. The reason we play them so well is because we match them physically and athletically and its evident moreso because our offense is the perfect offense for them to stop. We line up and run right at them which is perfect for their defense to stop. Our success(relatively) is because we match them physically. They really struggle with Auburn, TAM and OM(though not too bad with OM) because those teams stretch their LBs out while being able to match their DLs physicality. Why I think its paramount that we move our offense towards a zone read or speead , at least against them. We can match up but they beat us with scheme, confusion and discipline. The game plan in the 11 regular season game was half perfect. Imagine our rbs and wrs against that D with a decent qb and an offense that spreads their lbs out and makes them respect the edge? We have too many horses for them to stop us. Hell just with a decent QB we beat them most years.

Ftr record I don't want lbs like theirs just the disviplone . however give me 3-4 CJ Moseleys or Beckwiths and I'd be in heaven. Problem is that their aren't many like those guys.

George Lea is already enrolled at ASU.

Doubt LSU is interested, but Alfred Smith of Destrehan decommited and is evaluating his options.
