A few big boys and it will be complete. Last year and next year will be a buffer for a few positions.

Calm down everyone.

the "skilled" players are not the greatest IMO.

Porter will be a guard.
Washington will probably be a guard.
Blackmon will be a DT.
Allen could possibly move to DT.
We should close with one more DT.

its definitely underwhelming, i dont think anyone can deny that

our weakest spots are the offensive and defensive lines, and we havent addressed those areas with top flight talent

its even more underwhelming compared to florida and alabama, our top competition

Sixth is underwelming? Where were you people in the 90s? You would have slit your wrists under hallman and dinardo.

It is underwhelming if you think we have to be in the top 3 every year. This looks to be a solid class, not great, and will meet the needs we have. It should be sanwiched by two great classes, so we're still in pretty good shape.

no, its underwhelming when you look at how we addressed our OL needs with one legit prospect in washington and a project in porter...i do like porter, but its plausible he could be a career backup

and on the DL, we have a good player in allen but theres talk of him moving to OL, a converted OLB in maclin(who i like a lot), and 2 very questionable offers in bates and blackmon

am i missing something here

Porter, Blackmon, Washington, and we had Hardrick/Marsh decommit. Obviously we'll attempt to replace them.

Ware is a beast of a RB.
Dickson looks to be perfect for TE.
James Wright, Williams, and hopefully Boone at WR
Mathieu, Vinson, Simon (may be WR), and others..

Who are you not pleased with? I'm assuming Bates and Blackmon.

We have no issues on the OL. None. Have you looked at the roster? This class is filling needs nicely. Our class compares well to Bamas fwiw. It was better than their class before the decommits of Davis, Marsh, and Hunter.

OL was not and is not a big need in this class. DL was more of a need than the OL, but it wasn't critical after the haul last year.

The biggest need this year was WR and it really isn't close.

Considering the talent level in the state this year, this is a excellent class. Your statement above does not take that into acount, which makes it a Rantard post.

Pretty much this. It's a typical knee-jerk reaction to the subpar OL/DL play we saw this season. Morons don't even bother to look at the depth chart

OL is a need, imo

it was awful last year, and we have limited depth heading into 2010, no doubt

Joe Barksdale
Will Blackwell
Alex Bonnette
Matt Branch
Ben Domingue
Josh Dworaczyk
Chris Faulk
Cordian Hagans
Alex Hurst
PJ Lonergan
T-Bob Hebert
Stavion Lowe
Thomas Parsons
Greg Shaw
Clay Spencer
Josh Williford

a TON of inexperience there, i dont know how anyone can feel comfortable with the OL going into 2010

And who else in the state do you suggest we get to fill the above. Do you expect LSU to go to other states and just take their best OL and DL. Not going to happen, just like other schools are not going to come into LA and pull most of the top OL and DL from here. Another Rantardism.
