i don't understand why some think that Saban at UT would hurt LSU recruiting more than Saban at bama. it's not like our entire class is made up of Texas kids and UT got alot of the top Texas recruits under Brown anyways.

IMO he is strong in NELA, and if he goes to UT he would be at our door step.....

Saban will always have a strong presence in NELA, no matter where he goes. He knows that there is elite talent in that area and has always made it a priority.

This guy is not ten feet tall, folks. He wasn't at Bama, and he won't be at Texas.

We beat him in 2008, We beat him in 2010 and 2011. We were a couple of plays from beating him in 2009, Ditto for 2012. Only 1 game was a straight beat down, although it was a biggie. Even the game this year didn't get out of hand until the 4th Quarter. Even then, without the self inflicted mistakes, that game could have been competitive to the very end.

He wouldn't be in the SEC, which is part of the draw. LA kids don't know or care about the Big 12. His NELA connection will dry up with Brick Haley working the territory. And it's questionable whether those ties will withstand a jump to TX anyway. Will those handlers ditch their crimson gear for burnt orange, and will recruits listen to them now?

That is true, he won't be in the best conference the SEC.
And athletics do look at that, but they also look at playing time.
IMO Ala offers him to much, and he stays in Bama.

After the pitch to Adams, I doubt it.

No hootie's never going to be a tiger. His spot is about to be filled and I think we are better off for it. Cam Robinson will be missed more than Hootie. Although Cam was trolling LSU. tigerbait now!

I think we have a better shot/more want to get Cam Rob back in the fold than Hootie

We are addressing that position of need with Jamal Adams right? Who have we signed or recruited that is on the same level as Cam Rob. That was the point bromigo.

You said the exact same thing I said We have more need for Cam Rob than Hootie. If we weren't in the lead for Jamal Adams then we would want both. Adams is taking the sting of Hootie leaving away IMO.

The interesting thing will be how much of Alabama recruiting was to the school or because it's Saban. Hope he stays so we can beat him to death with this recruiting class the next 3-4 years
