I was just scrolling through Facebook and found this.

Ole Miss missed out on a commitment from a coveted four-star offensive tackle that picked LSU Thursday, but the Louisiana native said coach Hugh Freeze came by his school last week to tell him the Rebels didn’t have room for him anyway

That sounds about right for Ole Miss.

So if they had room we would have lost a bunch of recruits... Right

Well, they do have 5 offensive linemen already committed, including the #1 ranked tackle in the country. Seems nice of Freeze to make life easier for the recruit he didn't need.

Outside of Little, Allen would of been ranked the highest, nice argument though...not really.

Cow bells for imitation noise and the attempt by Miss St to be relevant.

Or maybe it was a sign of respect. How many guys get a coach to go to your high school to personally tell him that? Maybe you should be worried that now he apparently has an "in" at Neville for the future?

I hate Ole Miss, but it would have been more classless for him to go down there and tell him that he will gladly pull an offer from a year-long commit if he even gave him the glimmer of a chance.

The kid's a senior in high school. Have you ever dealt with teenagers? Do you think what went down's exactly how it went down? Teenage lives are all about exaggeration and drama. Do you think he showed up, was rejected, and then said (as your context implies), "well--I was just kidding, we didn't want you anyway?"

Well he's not from Neville. He's from as far away from there as you are from your own recruiting board. You're an Ole Miss fan on an LSU recruiting board. Goodbye.

Oh eat me. I put Neville instead of Curtis. Next time a Curtis guy picks Ole Miss I'll bookmark this and remind you.

According to Somny Ship this is actually true after Greg Little committed they told him they would not have room. Alabama also pretty much stopped recruiting him after their summer camp. Does this mean he would have not chose LSU I don't know but these things did happen. Allen has all the God given abilities to be great but he is
Not there yet he needs a definite red shirt year.

If WA wanted to come, they'd have found a spot

If that's a sign of respect, it's the most BACKHANDED one I've ever seen.
A sign of respect would have simply been to say, thanks for giving us a look. We look forward to playing against you. Good luck in the future. This is basically...we need you we need you we need you; wait, you picked another school; we didn't need you. Don't sugar coat this, it was a slap in the face

It wasn't the room for him that was the problem, it was the NSF on the account.

Years ago my wife convinced my five year old son that "pathetic" meant "big muscles". For weeks he went around flexing his biceps and saying, "I'm pathetic."
