Let's hypothetically say we don't get malik who do you say we finish with?

That's what I hope too. The OP said assuming we don't get Newman, though.

Newsman and Kasongo would be bubblicious.

Kasongo would add good depth down low to compliment victor, epps, Malone and Robinson.

We really need one of them to step up though and man the 5 efficiently. We don't need a scorer at the 5, we need a strong big that can grab a lot of rebounds, body up on other bigs, and stay out of foul trouble.

I really hope Epps surprises people as well and gives us depth.

I def like kasongo. Great energy. Played like a grown man in juco. But so did Joshua Gray

If Kasongo can give us the type of minutes and the flashes of good play that Gray did that would be huge.

What are the chances on Kasongo? I know he likes the Mississippi schools but why go there when you can possibly start on a team with Simmons.

Just kidding. It would likely be Sampson and Kasongo then.

Still think it's Newman and Kasongo to round things out though

What's your % guess.

I say.......

Newman - 75%
Kasongo - 40%

It's hard to guess on either, mostly because neither of them say anything.

For me, I'll go with

Newman - 65% (I just can't put that 7 spot there. I feel good but he just makes me nervous)
Kasongo - 50%

Who's the 4* forward from Marrero, Frazier? Not sure about the name but I heard they were still recruiting him also.

Melvin Frazier. I think he's the backup plan to Sampson if we swing and miss on both Newman and Sampson

That would be Chad Lott. I doubt Frazier has an offer. We've never recruited him.

damn i keep forgetting we have craig victor next year. i have a feeling hes going to be solid for us. we have a really good team taking shape already but if we end up getting malik newman too this team is going to be really frickin scary.

Take if for what its worth. But Sampson has been trending back towards LSU on 247. 2 crystal balls yesterday, and 4 of the last 5.

Well it makes sense for LSU to be the trendy pick now, but if Malik commits/signs with us, he'll likely re-commit with St. John's

I just hope it doesn't signal that Malik is going elsewhere.

Also what are our chances for Kasongo? I haven't heard much about him.

I don't think anyone knows where he is going, possibly even Malik himself. So I don't think that's an indicator. The thing with the CBs is the sooner you make the right prediction, the more points they get. So most will switch their picks the moment they hear a tidbit of info.

Between us, MSU and Ole Miss. He's another quiet one so you don't get much from him. I think we have as good a shot as any in that fight
