Thought several have said that Herron gained a lot of good weight and would be moved inside. I know he was originally recruited for end though.
yes. it's second hand from me, but Brick basically has said that. Herron had to be "prodded" a little, in the classroom too. But so far he's getting it done.

Very well done, RA. There is still a lot of talent to go after. I still think we could flip Willis too.

My thoughts after stepping back and looking at yesterday. These are my opinions and mainly for those who need an overview of where we stand now

Speedy - 10% barring a major change of heart where we possibly make an in home before EE. It makes sense for him.

Gerald - 40% a lot of factors such as quotes from him and his mother and rumors of the entire process for him lead me to believe his decision is much like hooties. I think he can be flipped.

Brown - 15% I think he and his family made a decision they felt was best and it will stick

So where do we go from here. Remember these guys are most likely EE so not much time to flip but im sire they will try. 18 commits

Dupre - 90% Depth chart is wide open and he is a different kind of receiver than Quinn. Believe he has been all lsu for a while but after yesterday what do any of us know.

Young - 60% recruitment has barely begun but I think having Malachi as a teammate and being the instate team will give us an advantage with the short time frame. He is a stud.

Speaks - 80% From what I have heard is that the offer will happen in a matter of days and a flip will occur in a matter of time after that.

Valentine - 50% This situation is very similar to what happened yesterday in regards to everything we hear from the insiders that say he is gonna flip and come here but valentine is beating a different drum understandably because he is currently committed elsewhere. This one is tough to predict because it is not just about where he wants to go but if he can actually go there. In the end I think he will be in this class. I also think the only decommitment we have is deondre clark due to his mother having cancer. Wish the best to him

That leaves us at 22. I think the above 4 are the next four we should feel most confident about. At one point or another lsu has been thrown around as their #1. This would add a lb, wr, and 2 dl. Next you have.

Adoree - 35% I would put him in the above group but there are two issues. First, is will he even leave the west coast. Second, if he does then Tennessee, lsu, Florida, and fsu are all still more than legitimate players with his recruitment. I personally don't think he makes it in but others do.

Lorenzo Carter - 25% we have come on.late and.everything has been.positive but I think he is Georgia bound simply because we are late to the party in the sense of how hard we r pushing him.

Kelly - 30% will be a tough pull from fsu but their large number of online recruits will work against them and.he has legit interest in us.

Williams - 15% has shown.lsu love but has never trully been.in the mix I don't believe.

With those five I think we get 1 and possibly 2 leaving a few more spots. Guys like McDowell and thomas are pipe dreams and people need to take of their p&g sunglasses and realize that just because we make contact with a recruit and they respond positively doesn't move us into their top 3 or 5.

The army game will clear a few things up in regards to Williams and iheanacho (left off because I don't really understand his recruitment and it has been very quiet but he could be a surprise). Also remember the noted surprise that will occur according to multiple insiders. After sitting at 22 or 23 we will still need an Ol, dl, and a cb to complete the class so look for us to start pushing on some unfamiliar names at these positions.

Sorry for the typos I'm on my phone. This post is more for those who need a brief overview and obviously these are my opinions

I think that the staff will get an extra incentive after yesterday to still make this a special class. January 17th will be a huge weekend for them and I don't think it will dissapoint.

Edit: EE situation slipped my mind

Good insight. Like I said, Rodriguez or Kelly, or both, will get long looks and I think both will be pushed here, which should give us much better depth at OL, even though they will both probably redshirt.

I also like both Valentine and Speaks in this class, hopefully we can make that happen.

I think all the DEs left on the table are pipe dreams to be honest, we just need them to get them to campus though. We all need to hope Al Golden goes to Penn St and that there is a lengthy coaching search.

I have a saying which has served me well as a salesman. "There are only two things in life you can control, your attitude and your activity". It's time to quit crying about spilt milk and move on which I am very confident our Staff is doing. I am confident we will finish strong. By the way I say widen the tent pegs and don't ever count on those so-called silent commits.

Guess its over your head
You can only control how you think and how you act or react, you cannot control anything or anyone else, When applied to recruiting this means give it your best shot but be ready for plan B. Kinda like taking a positive approach to life in general, which I know doesn't work too well on the rant.

You can't replace anything you never had. Plus, how often will LSU line up with more than 2-3 WRs? Les will not be running the wildcat anytime soon either. No worries people, we will have the skilled players. Just need to solidify the trenches.

Right.

By his sophomore year he would have been the #1 or #2 receiver. With every chance of being just as good, or better, than OBJ in this offense. Ignoring that is just being delusional.

skilled positions is no problem... let's get some linemen... offense and defense! everyone seems to get too focused on the skill position players and forget about getting top quality linemen... it all starts up front!

Speedy 1 or 2 wr??? Honestly I didn't really care if we got him of not he is a 5'10" 175lbs fast fast kid. I wanted Quinn more much more than speedy. Best of luck to speedy and would of been great to have him but some people are acting like he's Calvin Johnson and he's not that at all
