I know they lost 27-24. Does anyone have any info? Is he worth an offer as a QB? Is he worth an offer as an athlete?

Based on last week's televised game he looked like a future TE.

Beat me to it. Sounds like he could make a great TE.

Dak's passing stats were way better. Pellerin's running the wing T so you can't really see much passing ability in their games.

completely different lol. Now he could develop, but that would take years and by that time, we'll have loaded up at QB.

That's as bad as the guy's talking about Blake Sims was a RB before he was magically turned into a good QB this year. Sims passed for over 2700 yards as a junior and then nearly 2300 yards with 28 passing TDs as a senior.

Honestly, he is a lot like Dak Prescott. You can say what you want, but everything people are saying about him echoes what they said about Dak. He needs to refine his throwing mechanics, but he has a live arm and will be able to develop there. Hugh Freeze is no slouch at developing and recruiting qbs and Pellerin is the guy he wants and they have to replace their qb. That should speak volumes.

His recruitment is actually eerily similar to Prescott down to him wanting to honor his commitment and everything. Hope he doesn't burn LSU down the road.

Kid has potential. They did a lot of truck plays like the fumblerooski, and he did a tremendous job executing those things. I didn't see enough, however, to warrant an offer. As a college QB, he will be a bit of a project.

He reminds me of the late Pat Screen.

He is not a QB. Only plays that position because of the wing-t offense his HS team runs. Prescott in HS threw the ball much better and knew how to play the position. Pellerin could play split end or TE if he does not need to block on certain sets. The only reason people speak of him playing QB is because of his height. Other than that anyone who has watched him over the years can tell you he is not a QB.

Judging by Miles record of developing QBs, he would be wise to select Ole Miss. We need the finished product here.

Pellerin was a qb coming up from what I heard that was primed to be a good passing qb, but he runs a system that does not require it much. The system works and doesn't allow much room for him to showcase otherwise, but to say a kid is not a qb that is being recruited by an SEC program to play qb by an offensive minded/qb coach is absurd.

He threw for 2000+ yards last year.

They just didn't have the WR talent this year like they did last year so they ended up throwing the ball about 5 times a game and usually they were dumpoffs to RBs

The kid has a very strong arm but has consistency and accuracy issues

I don't think he's a top-flight SEC QB but it also would surprise me if he turns into a very good dual threat college QB who just has limitations on the passes he can throw

I got there in time to see the 2nd half. He was an impressive looking athlete. As has been stated earlier the offense is a lot of running so didn't get to see much arm talent. However on the final drive down 3 he fumbled 3 straight shot gun snaps and never attempted a pass it was pretty terrible to watch. Also CHNI sat there and never called a timeout during all that or even afterward to attempt to get the ball back. It was mind boggling.

I have no idea what Hugh has done but Wallace is the same now as
when he came out of JUCO. Dak is a 4th year junior right now. Took him two years in the system, then split time with Russell.

Like I said, he'd need a couple of years here in this pro style offense. By the time he was ready to do something, we'd have stocked the shelf.
