We barely even used the RBs last week so it’s not a big deal

This year's class should soften the blow.

Maybe that had something to do with how bad our RBs are. I hope Emery can take over this backfield because it is looking rough right now.

A lot of that had to do with our offensive line. I don't think those rbs are bad. I just think they are getting very little help to perform. Been a pretty common theme since 2019.

It's hard to be successful at that position when there are no gaps to run through and youre getting constantly hit in the backfield.

If you disagree with this, compare TDP's performance in the Florida game last season to other games. Our OLine looked like Moses parting the Red Sea out there and had TDP breaking records.

Citizen hurt, but CBK will replenish the fold at RB, 23 already shows this and top rated backs in Louisiana are always top RBs in country

what I continue to laugh at is all the dumbasses who got on Les Miles about the OL because we couldn't freaking run on Alabama. We could run on everybody else, just not Alabama. Alabama at that time prided themselves on their run defense. Les had one bad OL and that was 2009. We've had worse OL than that each of the past 2 seasons and it started off bad this year. QBs weren't running for their lives under Miles' OL. Then people falsely blamed Grimes for OL problems, when he was the one kicking arse. He then went on to have great performances as an OC at BYU and Baylor.

OL can be fixed. Kelly and Co will get that fixed, and once they do it won't be a problem again until he retires from LSU.

I think Emery shows his 5 star talent this year. Next year is when we see the real worth of the OL work and we'll have 2 new studs entering at RB.

We'll pick 1-2 up in portal. Doesn't really matter.

LSU needs to do like Bama and tamper with elite players at crap universities, get them in portal, get them here like they did with their RB and our Ricks.

2 incoming freshmen and will likely take a transfer for depth with Emery graduating and possibility of losing Cain. We need more bodies in that room.

They didn't look terrible to me. They just didn't get many carries.

Cain had 7 carries and 4 of those were in consecutive carries from the FSU 8 when we were trying to pound it in for a touchdown. His other 3 runs were for 9, 2 and 4 yards.

They might not be good, or they might be fine. I'm just not sure how you can make a definitive determination based on that game.

Kevin Faulk is my favorite Tiger of all time, but he was not an elite RB coach.

I'm sure the coaching change played a big part in that. Too much uncertainty. Dust didn't settle until too late.

That would make sense, but he signed with a school that just hired a new coach as well.

Etienne wasn't recruited that hard by LSU and went to Florida because his mom and brother live there now
