You never know unless you give it a shot. I remember last year one of my LSU buddies told me "Trovon Reed will never go to AU". Totally different situation I know, but the point remains that you dont win many recruiting battles if your scared to compete.

Your LSU buddy was an idiot then.

Well, it is the same board that thinks Nick Saban doesn't really have a plan for recruiting. He just offers everyone, and hopes for the best.

Just don't listen to the idiots. NS scares people here stupid, cause they know the dude is a win-at-all cost attention-to-detail guy, that is missed in Baton Rouge.

I clicked on the link and missed the part where AU fans believe they have him locked up.

Only thing i saw was that AU was a strong player for him, Robinson has confirmed that himself.

But like i said, aint no way lorio is going to let another THS go to AU

this one though is golden

Lest we forget, AU has pulled some really good players out of LA over the years...

The state's recruits have been said to be LSU locks, but not always the case...

Recently: Benton, Reed,....now possibly Robinson = looks like cherry picking to me

I can't help but laugh when people characterize a program's out-of-state recruiting as "cherry picking" when they happen to get a few players from one high school. No one should kid themselves. The in-state school is always the team to beat, at least in cases where they offer.

Looks like it will be awhile before any of us find out:
quote:

"I have strong early interest in Auburn, LSU, USC, Oklahoma, and strong interest in Arkansas too. I would like to commit early but if it's not right I won't. I also thought about doing it during homecoming, but now I'm thinking I might wait until (January)."

I have no doubt that his interest in Auburn is genuine and don't fault their fans for being wishful but just because you got handed Benton and won and outrecruited us for a kid with extremely difficult circumstances in Reed(I'll give credit where it's due in this case because they did outrecruit us for him)doesn't mean you are a major threat for every kid you go after in LA.Anyone will tell you that it's extremely difficult to beat LSU for a kid they want in LA.Robinson has said he's looking around to make sure his heart is in the right place but in the next sentence says that he loves LSU and that's where his heart is.I know their's some slant in most team site articles but Robinson's said this many times.Seems to me it just might be the truth.I tried to warn the ones i talk with about not getting their hopes up(I will eat my crow if he chooses Auburn)with him and some are receptive but the others just can't be helped.Imo he's just enjoying the process until he chooses LSU.

Talk around thibodaux, Robinson is a lock for LSU.Also if LSU offers inside LB Trey Granier, only a jr. next year he's also a lock for LSU,By the way Tuberville was at Thibodaux high this past week.

Tuberville is hitting his old recruiting grounds hard. He was in Mobile recently. Added Blake Dees to Texas Tech's commitment list. LB from Spanish Fort.

I think Tommy could cause some big problems in Texas with the talent at hand there.Gonna take a couple of years because the personnel doesn't fit but there's too many players for his style in Texas to miss on all of them.Even if he just gets the guys(supposedly)not good enough for UT or Oklahoma/LSU he should be able to put together some good teams.I don't care what Auburn fans say the guy can coach.
