After he got crucified by the fan base and local media, I didn't expect him back.

I figured he would wait to find out if he can transfer to an SEC school and play this year before entering the portal, but I guess pulling the trigger now means teams can contact him (within the rules. I’m sure they were anyway) and will know to save him a spot out of their 25. And he can transfer to a school outside the SEC and be eligible next season no matter what.

I thought the free transfer eliminated all sitting out this go around.

Georgia seems to think it's a done deal. There's clearly been contact in some way there... And before people go nuts, LSU would do the same.

Anyone that thinks fan reactions affect these situations is a fool.

He was gone the day he left.

I wasn't impressed at how he quit this year. Outstanding talent. I wish him well and hope he does well. Maybe he won't quit on the next team.

Seems like a dumb choice. Washington is in the same class and will be an alternating option on an already less utilized position.

It sounds as though the homesick thing is real.

If that’s the case, then I wish him all the best. As long as he doesn’t end up in Tuscaloosa, I won’t hold any grudge.

I wish we could recoup that commit. A player opts out as a true FR and transfers should be a situation where teams get that extra commit back the following year.

He appeared hesitant to me borderline soft. Maybe that was due to him being true freshman. Bottom line we got him the ball alot before he quit. He Cant say he wasnt a priority in offense. Rumor was mental issues. Que sera. We riding with kole now. Kids tough and aint a quitter

I’ll sweet talk the shite out of Gilbert if it keeps BJ in BR.
