Not sure why Gary Johnson hasn't been mentioned on here? According to 247 he holds an offer from us but I've never seen anything about him visiting LSU or us pursuing him hard at all... He's a one time Bama commit with a very impressive JUCO highlight reel. I'd love to have this guy playing ILB next to Devin White next season.
We have to start pressing for talented LBs now that Chris Allen and Moses are off the table. This guy looks ready to step in from day one and fill an ILB position.

The only reason I'm not panicking about LBs right now is that, at the very least, Aranda can take some last minute 3 star commits and turn them into All-SEC players.
However, the whole idea of bringing Aranda in was to implement his schemes with 5 star talent and turning some defenders into All-Americans.

I've been beating this drum for awhile now. This is a year where we don't need 4 freshmen LB's. We need AT LEAST one JUCO LB (pref. an ILB) who can at a minimum, hold their own against 325 lb. SEC lineman. A former Bama LB commit sounds like the type we could use.

I assumed that Bama "processed" him because of all the freak high school LBs they had committed this year. Not sure if grades were the issue, but if so, that would make sense. Just wanted to throw it out there and see if anyone knew any information about the guy because he's crazy talented at our biggest position of need.

Saw his video, guy is a THUMPER who likes to hit through the players. Would be a GREAT gain if he is eligible....

I mean, we still have Divinity, White and Thonrton. We might have to fill a role or two with 3 star lunch pale guys, but we still have an immense talent pool.
