From the SEC recruiting board re: Rashan Gary's mom during OM visit...

There is confirmation of an incident involving Rashan Gary's mother in the Grove that is just ridiculous. She was there for the Walk of Champions on Saturday and had not had enough time to get her credential. She was approached by security and asked to leave, I am told. An altercation ensued in which the rent-a-cop allegedly shoved her and cursed her. All things considered, I understand she took it as good as one could have. Other than that, we are told it was a good visit.

Isn't she close with Greg Little's mom and that's the main reason they visited there? I wonder if it effects Little's decision.

There were two mothers of recruits there, both got PO'd. They did not have their papers yet for parents of recruits. They were stopped, asked to leave. RG's mother was pushed back and cussed by the temp security. The whole attitude of OM people is like that. It was all over the newspapers and school sites over here. I think it hurts them in recruiting.

I didn't think OM was that big or a threat to land Gary anyways....are/were they a serious player for him?

Ole Miss is a threat. They're willing to bring the Brinks truck to recruits' homes

Wow. I've never heard of something to this extent with a recruit.
There was that one instance where a recruit of ours, and his mother, had to walk across campus because cops wouldn't let her down the right road and that was a big deal. Sorry, can't remember name; and no, didn't come here.
Usually parents "hating visits" is contrived, at any school (like Cam Rob's mom). But this, damn. Only HC that failed consistently in the proper organization I knew of (or in the SEC) was Petrino, and that was because he's an a-hole anyway and really only wanted to talk to QBs himself.

I just glanced at her Facebook page and she has a picture of a Rebels fan waving a confederate flag and said something to the extent of people here don't see anything wrong with it.

2003 co-champions of the western division of the SEC. C'mon baw.
They did lose to LSU, who played and won the SEC title and the National title but let's not worry about all that.

Michigan is the threat. Former teammate Jabril Peppers is on him. His ex HS coach is on staff with Harbaugh.
Orgeron is our best link and if no O then no Gary.
