Lee Bretchen(sp) says that LSU is on this kid now and he has received 10-15 offers over the last 2 weeks

truth?

i dont know about what offers he has, but I watched a little of the ECA/Capitol game, and the announcers said when he came out of the game for a play or two "it's not as much a breather for Jackson, but a breather for Evangel's defense."

another note, they interviewed JT Curtis on the radio and he mentioned he is the best RB in the state in his opinion

what did he do tonight? Crowton recently met with him, he seems to be an option with Lache, Gore, and Blue.

can't be much more than 217. Capitol started at their 10, Broadway got 8, a Rb was dropped for a loss of 2, then gained 3, then the TD.

Sounds like this kid is the real deal. We have a delima with Lache, Blue, Gore, Jackson options for this year and the three studs in LA next year.

"Capitol High running back Frankie Jackson had played the game of his life..." - The Advocate

"Capitol's senior running back dismantled one of the best high school defenses in the state for 240 total yards Friday night. - Shreveport Times

"Hopefully, given time, Jackson can reflect on the entire evening. It was special. In its history, Evangel has given up 200-yard rushing games about as often as Jackson fumbles; that was twice before he doubled that total Friday."

Looks like despite the fumble of his life, Jackson is in a nice position to have the Capitol High lobby full of recruiters Monday morning -- nothing like being THE story in your last game.

i really feel for the kid; played the game of his life and came up 1 yard short. Wherever he ends up playing, his future seems to be a promising one.

Does the memory of last night make him even MORE attractive as a recruit? It is a burst of harsh reality that leads to a much more mature player -- before that kid is playing on your dime...

looks like we're headed to our rb back up plans

we've really botched rb recruitment the past few years

Speed is one thing, what separates Frankie from the rest is his gifted brain -- he has tremendous spatial intelligence

Not sure if y'all saw this so I'll mention it again -- on the GEE in Geography -- which is reading routes and patterns and analyzing statistics -- Frankie Jackson got 100% -- this is the Advanced level that few students at Baton Rouge High or Ben Franklin achieve --

This is the kind of detail that tells a college coach they have someone they can mold into a champion -- at the highest level, it is brains AND brawn

It's not a back up plan if a kid emerges his Senior year as a better prospect than those who had the hype going into their senior year.

See Morris Claiborne. Both Blue and Jackson are legit.

maybe he's another dion lewis/ jaquizz rogers type. he seems like a recruit sometimes who you pass on and has a great career somewhere else. will be interesting to see where he ends up. i imagine with his stock rising the way it is that even if LSU passes he'll end up at a better school than his current offer sheet would indicate.

There are always a few every year that develop in their senior year. Last year it was claiborne and Bennie Logan. Louisiana is always loaded with late bloomers. Tyson Jackson was a late bloomer also.
