very underrated based on their offer list.

I do agree that a recruit's offer list is very telling. I often find it comical to listen to your typical naive ULL fan touting how thier recruiting class is underrated, yet most of their recuits only other offers were McNeese, Nichols and NSU.

Yall need to chill out. This is before any of their senior seasons and any camps they will attend and showcase their talents nationally. Right now you have to trust our coaching staff and realize that they can see talents that can play at lsu. They aren't just signing scrubs man. It's early in the recruiting process and they obviously see something in these kids that make them extend an offer to lsu. I trust coach o and co over some football rating site anyway. If you dont, youre a fool. Geaux tigers.

Valentine is a 3 star running back. This is who you are hoping for?

Curry Explains His Commitment

quote:

Along with an opportunity to play right away, Curry said LSU also did the best job connecting with him and his family when they first visited campus in March.

“They were engaged with my parents, and they made me feel like I was wanted,” said Curry, who also has family four hours from Baton Rouge in Shreveport.

“I like the campus. I like the way the players connect with each other. They all push each other.”

quote:

“They wanted me to commit right then. They said, ‘What are you waiting on?’” Curry said of his parents. “Mom’s never wrong. She said, ‘I think this is the school for you.’”

I see he's a 3 star from a pretty competitive school, good pick up? Above average? I don't know much

Immokalee puts out some talent

Any running back at this point is what I wanted so

As many have said on here already, offer lists are more telling than star gazers.

Hopefully we get one more back for this class and we need some receivers to begin committing dangit.

If we do get Valentine that will be 11 three star players of this class. As comparison Alabama had 2 three star players in last years recuriting class. I would rather get 4 star Tony St Julien.

I know a lot of you guys might panic that it's another 3 star, but it's still very very early in the process. The big summer camps and their senior seasons haven't even started yet. Still a ton of time left for them to move up rankings. Regardless, I have quite a bit of faith that these coaches know who can play and who can't, and will offer any kid worthy of being at LSU. Let them do their jobs. Good job getting Chris Curry though. He is a Marshawn Lynch clone to me. Sign Harold Joiner and Fabian Franklin, and I would be more than happy with our RB class. Got to get good RBs and WRs this class.

St. Julien is like 173 lbs.

It's obvious they wanted at least 1 downhill type RB. It's kinda ignorant to go off of just ratings. A guy could be ranked as a top 100 prospect by one recruiting service and not even top 500 in another. Then you have some 3-star guys outperforming 5-star guys in camp settings and earning invites to The Opening, Nelson Jenkins and Micah Baskerville for example. There are a bunch of other factors that go into rating these guys, always trust the coaches and staffs over recruiting sites especially someone like Tommie Robinson.

Ole Slip, huh?? I had a convo with him awhile back when I worked in Atlanta, and he was telling me back then he had a nephew or lil cousin, I can't remember that was comin to LSU. He wasn't talking about Curry, but rather Justin Watkins, but I guess he was wrong on that one or picked the wrong one. Lol

My bad, I thought Slip Watkins real first name was Sam, but it's not. You're talking about Sammy Watkins from Clemson fame. But to tell you the truth all of them could be related because they all hail from Florida. Sammy is from Fort Myers, but Slip and Justin are def related. Slip Watkins was arguably LSU's fastest player ever, dude could fly and won a lot of track championships.

You can't look at the stars. The kids got good film. He's fast as shite, north-south runner, bounces off defenders and tough to tackle, he's got great vision and a nice cutback. He had some breakaway speed and ran through several guys. At 5'11 200, I like it, he adds some nice depth.
