I wouldn't mind him going elsewhere. We(me and you) know tht Shea is the one Cam wants.

This is laugh out loud irl funny. Couple months ago, it was Cam was in love with Franks and people were questioning if he even cared about letting Patterson go OOS. Now because we offer, Shea shows interest, that's Cam's favorite???

I think Franks has more potential and raw talent. He has much better size, a stronger arm (albeit worse throwing motion), and is plenty athletic and mobile for a QB.

Patterson is very athletic with great feet and a very polished passer for HS, but I don't think his arm strength or size looks elite on film.

Both could be solid under Cam no doubt, but I love Franks' ceiling. Won't complain with either.

FSU is literally a 30 minute drive from where he lives....why wouldn't he go there and have fun?

he may very well be interested in them but some of yall need to chill out.

My statement has nothing to do with Shea just getting offered, or Franks' tweet or visit to FSU.

I'll panic if Frank leaves and Shae doesn't commit.

This is not a, "We don't want him anyway" post. To me, Franks' motion is terrible. Too much baseball in it personally. Patterson is much more polished.

The state is so loaded in 2016, LSU will get a fantastic QB if not more. No biggie.

Between the Patterson offer and the Franks visit to FSU (there will be more, and to other schools) JJ27 just reminded me of something else that everyone needs to keep in mind: Franks is a for sure MLB draft loss potential. AND he's been cleared to play both sports. Both factors in LSU Staff thinking and Frank's thinking.

(yes, been mentioned before here... just a friendly reminder)

I've been kind of puzzled as to what type of QB our coaching staff covets.

We had Mettenburger in cam's first year and the whole world discussed his 'pro' style offense and it was an obvious improvement.

I thought I was going to see an offense like this from now on.

Then when 'lil Rivers left, along with Retig, I was getting a vibe from various quotes from recruits, fans, coaches ect. that Cam is enamored with the idea of a dual threat QB.

IMO Miles has always preferred a dual-threat Qb

But now, with the recent developments pertaining to this thread; it seems we have taken an action that will result in getting a great pro-style QB while losing a great dual-threat QB.

Just curious what yal think...... which type of QB's, of the two, should we expect the Tigers to recruit in the future; and what type of system are we gonna run

Since Mett was already here when CC arrived, and the trend towards athletic dual-threats, I'd say CC prefers a dual threat QB. (my humble guess)

i think it's more of a throwing qb that happens to be fast and can move around in the pocket. i don't know if there is a difference but that's my take

Imagine if Mett had any wheels at all, any mobility...

You are probably right red

Living in Tallahassee I have met Felipe Franks... He said that he is 100% LSU unless there is a coaching change.
I know he is young and this doesnt mean much, but it made me feel more comfortable about his commitment

Franks is a leaner more mobile Mett. His arm and delivery is very simmilar. When you teach him where to put the ball, he can drill it anywhere. Reminds me of a very good strong armed baseball player, playing football.

Now with Patterson, I think you have a pure QB. Think Mett vs. Murray at Georgia.
