With all the new technology in 2015 don't you find it weird we still make recruits fax their letter of intent to the schools?

I'm way younger than 50 and have used a fax machine a few times.

So are incandescent bulbs and nokia flip phones. that doesn't mean those technologies aren't obsolete.
It just means people hate change.

Why take this 220 mile/hr "green" train (scan/email) to my destination when I can spend twice as much and drive my broke @$$ '93 Ford Mustang in traffic(fax).

lol.. nothing to talk about tonight - tomorrow will be better!

Entrenched holdover technologies always hang on longer than they should. Fax machines are still VERY much alive in contractor bid processes. Me and another employee have managed to get some of our guys to go paperless, but the older guys still hold out.

And you guys are right. The government is still addicted to paper. I recently had to turn in 10 paper copies of a 200 page submittal, as well as a bookmarked PDF digital copy. What is the point of that?
