This is about negative recruiting when he WAS a head coach. How he performed etc.

Definitely negative recruiting. Just like the "O" haters on here looking at the past, the future can't get here soon enough. So all this negativity stops when they see "O Canada"

Why do we keep naming new RB prospects that we aren't even recruiting? Has any contact been made with this kid?
If we end up with 2 backs and one of those is Proven, I'll consider this a poor haul.

We were recruiting him pretty hard for awhile, so yea contact had been made and a lot of it since last summer. He didn't get an offer because he is a grade risk not because he isn't worthy of an offer talent wise.
He got his panties in a wad a couple of months ago because we would never give him an offer so he stopped talking to the coaches when they would try and show some interest. We told his head coach last month they we would no longer be contacting Franklin.
Super talented kid but he is just too much of a risk for us grade wise.He has a small shot to make it but it's going to take a lot of work on his end.
A story I do love about this kid is during a visit last month to Ole Miss one of the Ole Miss coaches brought Franklin over to talk to Freeze.Freeze asked the kid if has ready to be a Rebel and Franklin's reply was "no way I am coming to waste my college years playing for no bowl".I hear the look on Freeze's face was to die for. They dropped him after that.

Tough to lose him when we didn't offer.
Sounds like another excuse.

From what I have heard from some friends in Ms. who are fairly knowledgeable about this kid. He has been a State fan his entire life and his family wants him to stay in Ms. In addition, the young man is squarely on the bubble as far as getting his grades in order. They think in the end he will qualify but it is a serious issue.
As badly as LSU needs a couple of RBs in this class I just dont see where you can make him a priority with this kind of risk. LSU needs to forget this kid.

IMHO, after reviewing the film, he was the best SEC- ready running back on the 2018 LSU radar from a talent standpoint. He's got everything you want on the field. He would have looked good in purple and gold.

Maybe. LSU cant gamble and miss on other kids then in the end get nobody. That happened last year and Clemson came and took a kid LSU backburnered until it was too late. LSU cant do that again.

My excuse is that I thought everybody in this thread had a working sarcasm detector.

Nope. This place has become toxic. We really need the season to start.

Fabian grew up a huge LSU fan,but the rest of his family are State fans.I know his mom showed up at a local combine Fabian was at a couple of weeks ago decked out in Dak Prescott gear.
As far as the "forget" part both sides moved on for good last month.
