to be completely unbiased I would have to say Barkley is the better player at qb

he just seems like a sure thing at the next level, especially in USC's offense and the talent they have

As for LSU's offense, I think Shepard is the better fit and the more versatile and electic player.

Oh, sure. I was just saying that if TrioOfLights trolling-arse would have said he would rather have Shep (an LSU commit) instead of Barkley (a commit of one of LSU fans' most hated teams....aside from Bama, of course), LSU nation would have shite a collective brick out of shock and disbelief.

And "IS" is the key word. Sure, a pure pocket passer is the easy bet. But a mobile QB who can force defenses to respect his mobility opens up the passing game more. It's just like stocks....higher risk = higher potential reward

Barkley = low risk (you know what you're getting)
Shep = high risk (could be the next superstar, but could also be a mediocre passing QB)

Maybe I'm a high risk guy
