From his Twitter iballlikemelo_ committing soon. Is LSU still in good shape or is he A&M bound? Taylor Hamm wrote a paid article on it.

You can recruit in the dead period. Coaches just can't see recruits in person.
But recruits are still in contact with coaches by phone calls, social media, etc. And a lot of face time on iPhones. That's very common.
