Sounds like ole George lied on his resume. Arena league QB for 4 years ........like that gives you more cred.

He has since changed it to say that he tried out for several arena teams as a QB but I don't get why it was necessary to include that and why would you get defensive about it if it was an unintentional omission of what actually happened. When are people going to learn that it is better to own up to something and move on. Instead when you lash out and deny any wrong doing you end up looking like a fool.

305 is far too heavy for a 13 yo kid.....it only makes quality development harder. He needs to be at 260 or less and that's pushing it.

How does that work for high school? They don't have a football team do they?

Caddo Magnet High does not have a football team but he could go to Captain Shreve or Byrd or another school if he wants to pursue football which it seems he does. That's what I did. If I had to guess he will probably end up at Byrd if he doesn't go to a private school.

Gotta love how the school systems try to separate athletics and academics. I also went to a school with terrible academics in order to play football and baseball.

I wouldn't say Byrd or Shreve has terrible academics.

Yeah, I kind of mixed my thoughts there. In my instance, I had to go to a terrible school to play sports.

I didn't have to but I chose to go to Southwood and I probably should have went to Byrd as Shreve didn't have a magnet program at the time.

Southwood was a very good sports school back in the day. Even further back Woodlawn was king and has a list of qbs that are rivaled by none. My guess would be he goes to Byrd, good football and academics. Where I would have gone had I stayed in the area

FYI, Eric has always been a big kid and has always been brilliant. During his early days of playing football, he didn't want to hurt the opposing players (typical, actually of larger kids). He is a really neat young man who loves LSU. The program as well as the university, would be better off if their recruiting class of 2019 includes "little E".

I believe she said he was at Caddo Middle Magnet. He is also very smart.

Caddo Magnet High doesn't play football, so he'll have to transfer to play.

I know Eric and he is a very bright young man. Let's not forget he is just 13 and just turned 13 a couple of weeks ago. So let's please have a little more discretion with your comments. Please trust that his parents and his village are taking care of him, his nutrition, and his physical fitness. If you are on this blog, I'm hoping it is because you are an lsu fan. You should be excited about the possibly of lsu getting a kid like this in 2019, because I know I am. If he is going to lsu camp and impressing coaches at this age, just imagine what he will be doing once he starts to learn how to play the game. I am also thinking he will end up at Shreve where the numbers say the academics are better.

His nutrition should be tailored to drop his weight. At 13, he should be far lower than 305 regardless of what anyone says. The weight will absolutely set him back in his development.

It is not a jab but a fact. I have more insight than the average OT knuckle-dragger....

Hopefully you kept reading. He is at Middle Magnet not the high school and he can pick where he goes to high school like Byrd or Shreve.

Byrd's magnet academics are far better than Shreve's. If he wants to play sports he should go to Byrd.

I'm not trying to argue but you said he would have to transfer but middle magnet and magnet high are not exclusive. He would be eligible to go to Magnet High but not obligated.
